Recent BTER Allegations - Update
Please be assured the BTER cold wallet exchange will be handled accordingly. Today, we will release an official statement regarding the issue. Stay tuned! I am very curious, especially what BTER has to say. Happily I dont have a single satoshi on BTER. Bter will kill this coin many out form this exchange try the other exchange like bittrex for example or poloniex thanks Im afraid that even if they get the Lisk there customers wont receive a single coin. Like the withdraw issue currently or the hacks etc. I lost more than 0.65 in bter because of BTS and XMR thanks

I am a newbie but I studied a lot cryptocurrency during last two months.
I bought lisks on day one.
I read whitepaper and I don't want to be a delegate but I think it it's important to vote.
My question is:
Why the privilege to vote is reserved to standby delegates?
why people voting are the same people that want to be a delegate?
Maybe I don't understand properly Dpos but every lisk owner should be able to vote without paying to register.

to make it known here as well, I posted below in the forum on the Delegates board http://forum.lisk.io/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=c3ee0de1ca9588b77c51c14822e4c3a9Good morning, afternoon, evening, whatever, Lisk world.
I'm going to set up a delegate on a VS shortly, and will be happy for every vote!
Living in the south of Germany, I have a computer background starting in ATARI ST times. Passively absorbing knowledge in Cryptoland for the last 2 years, I now want to support Lisk actively, as I have a very good feeling about our potential with Lisk.

A total of 101 delegates will run the chain for this a node have to be up lets say 90+ plus and for this you get a reward called Forging this is 5 coins every block you forget approx. 16 minutes. Because everyone wanna be a miner delegates can be on standby untill you have enough votes to become a active delegate top 101. People can vote on persons that they think have something to offer to the network. Maybe a developer or maybe a community member they like and help them , it can be everything. You can vote for yourself but also for others and this can make the network more healthy and you can support what you like.

Has anyone seen it mentioned on how one can mine/forge? I see on the front page it says mining/forging is for "top delegates". Does this mean if we have LISK we can't stake them?
Thx in advance, IAS

BTC = Black Swan. BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.

Well, they've felt no sense of urgency in resolving the many, longstanding withdrawal issues they have from owner's of other coins. If you send them the Lisk they will steal it. Can we think of a way to reimburse the customers ripped-off by Bter without using Bter themselves? It would be good for Lisk to be seen to try to help ripped-off users, it would be bad for Lisk to be seen enabling a scam by the crook Lin. That the problem you cant see what they own who! So as i see it there are 2 options; 1..You allow there Ico, you give them the coins they can give it to there people (but hey they didnt allow withdraws so why would they now) and there is a possibility that they even will dump all coins, cause i doubt they really care look how they handle there people. 2..You give them back there Xcr and make a statement why and that Lisk doesnt want to be assosiated with anything like this.
both have there advantage and disadventage @max do the right thing, don't let yourself into bter fiasco. it will do more damage than good for lisk. you can still avoid it by sending xcr back imho.

given the insane btc invested here (wherever the hell it all came from??) - will LISK be providing a legit breakdown doc showing where and how these funds will be spent and managed?? i think investors need serious transparency here with this kinda money. no BS basic "whitepaper" either that so many devs drop.
Piston, devs said already many times this funds will be used to the good, they didnt make a full plan cause you simply dont know what you would raise. It could be 100 btc or 15000. Now they know im sure there planning a future roadmap, but first a good launch is needed. And so far everything went really smooth and controlled make me complete calm with this investment. i would expect both a roadmap, and expenditure accounts to be published on a regular basis. this is not la la land. Does Bitcoin or Ethereum do this? SO TRUE! Where the fuck is Bitcoins Roadmap?!?! i don't want the market to equate the fucked up governance and process of bitcoin with Llisk. i want Lisk to be as far removed from bitcoin as possible. do you think apps developers will want to invest their resources in a new coin that emulates the behaviour of the bitcoin crew?

I really would like it as well if LISK would differentiate as much as possible to bitcoin, to be as much independent as possible, especially for outside views in public without much inside knowledge.

That is your opinion but on this specific topic which is the trustablility of projects requiring a future roadmap and spending plan be established right away. I'm just stating that the things people shout out here in this thread as being of utmost importance are not really as important as they may think. Has nothing to do with lisk being like bitcoin, just that bitcoin has low amounts of the things people are requesting that a successful coin should. Has anyone beat bitcoin yet? nope. I'm just pointing out that everyone seems to know exactly what needs to be done to be a huge success but there is no evidence that those things create success.

About the decision you made on BTER: I feel it's the only right thing to do. For the remaining XCR holders on BTER, I hope BTER releases your funds so you can trade them on PoloniEx or other highly recommended exchanges and get into Lisk later on.
