Yep, we need to get completely away from just the "L" imo.

+1 vote to change the logo
It's unprofessional and unsuitable for serious cryptocurrency.

Quote
"PLEASE VOTE FOR CANNABANANA as Lisk Delegate! Digital Ocean Node - SSD Storage / Dual Core / 2GB Ram / 1 Gbps Link  (30 Delegates Thus Far! My Delegate Vote List: MalReynolds, PunkRock, Emerge, techbytes, cc001, nextgencrypto, Bitseedmike, bigcabrito, TheRedHawk, Splatters, Mrboot, Pinkman12345, BTCRoyal(Jan), Th4o, DevKing, djselery, Videodrone, Vega, Trader19, Bitcoinuserx,  Cryptomaik, Simeul, Digitron,  elitecstrike, ZenFR, Nuevo, grajson, Hollowman338, Bysup, CannaBanana!)"

Nice sig and good job keeping that list handy, Canna.  I like it, please keep adding names as they come up!

Use Max's face as logo. Problem solved

That's actually a pretty good idea.  Think about Doge.

Maybe Max's face for the coin, and the photo of him in the jet with the women for the Lisk paper bill!  Tongue

To vote a delegate, have you to be a standby delegate?
Or anybody can vote? (I want to vote but I don't want to be a delegate node)  Huh
IIRC you can vote for a delegate for 1 LISK

When the Lisk wallet comes out, there will be a tab that will show a list of delegates.   The list will be in two parts.  The first part of the list will be the 101 Active Delegates.  The rest of the list will be the Standby delegates.  There will be check boxes by every name.  To vote, you pick 33 delegates you like and put checkmarks in their boxes.  This is your "ballot".  Then you hit a button to send your ballot with its 33 votes to the blockchain at a cost of 1 Lisk.  I don't know why the limit is 33 per ballot - it's in the code, maybe Oliver can explain.  You can vote for a maximum total of 101 people, so you have to cast four ballots to get to 101 delegates at a cost of four Lisk total.

When you go back into your wallet, it will remember who you have voted for and automatically have checkmarks by your chosen delegates.    You can uncheck boxes to remove votes.  You then spend one Lisk per 33 removed votes to get those changes onto the Lisk blockchain.

This is how it was at Crypti.  There may be differences made for Lisk.

Oliver, why the limit of 33 votes per ballot?

The current logo reminds me of the mixture of minerals and the pylons from Starcraft 1.

Terrible attempts at logo's. Even if it wasn't a quick copy of ltc. They suck, where are the decent pro designers to be paid from all the millions raised from this scam? Use an ass crack as the logo that is about all this project will be worth when the devs run with the money with no work. Oh but we have a full member account as escrow? Thats good then  Cheesy

If we're going to come up with a new logo, it should incorporate the concept of a mainchain supporting many sidechains.  This is the core idea behind Lisk.  In fact, the Crypti logo was changed to just such a concept - a "C" made of concentric blocks.

I still like my previous idea of an obelisk that has languages at the bottom changing to 0/1 and then a blockchain as you get to the top.  But that's a graphic, not a logo.

Obelisk is a word of Greek origin that means "point" as in "tip of a spear".  So a Lisk logo needs to have a "point".

Yep, we need to get completely away from just the "L" imo.

it could be counter intuitive - 'K' as the inspiration for the logo, in the form of a currency symbol like $ is for dollar.

the K could be modified to have design characteristics reminiscent of the Japanese yen symbol, with the diagonal strokes not meeting but turning horizontal and extending to the left to cut through the vertical stroke.

This is all getting too specific and convoluted. Get a professional who knows their shit and and let them figure it out.

it's called brainstorming. out of it comes draft ideas. you don't start off with the finished article.

I don't think this is the right place for that. But if you disagree, go ahead, brainstorm more.

For all we know, this discussion is futile, because there might already be someone working on the rebrand (they announced it, so I guess they already have someone at hand).

That's the last thing I'm gonna write about that matter.

If making new graphics like logos etc. then you should hire the person that does the Ethereum graphics or someone simiar... for that Premium Pro Apple-esque level of marketing/appearance that consumers (Lisk buyers)  would be enthralled by.

A quick update regarding your attempts on logos. Smiley

Right now we don't have access to the ICO money. Legally (escrow terms) we can get access to it after the first Lisk block was forged. Due to tax reasons however, we will only have access to it once we registered the Lisk entity as a non-profit organisation. This is a process which still takes several weeks.

Once we have access to the money we will hire a reputable and excellent design agency to do a complete rebranding (logo, website, client, mobile client, media kit, design guidelines) with an even better UX than now. So this is being taken care of! We will come up with a new logo and design.

Thank you for your concerns! Feel free to create a thread on our forum and do brainstorming there. So that the design agency can go there later and maybe get a few ideas.

Thanks! Smiley

Hey all,

I am CroDam.
I have looked all throughout the thread and see that we are little bit short with delegates atm. So I would like to help our community too.
Have gathered a list of people as to who I will be voting for as delegates.

(As of now) My votes are going to:

MalReynolds, PunkRock, Emerge, techbytes, cc001, nextgencrypto, Bitseedmike, bigcabrito, TheRedHawk,
Splatters, Mrboot, Pinkman12345, BTCRoyal(Jan), Th4o, DevKing, djselery, Videodrone, Vega, Trader19, Bitcoinuserx,
Cryptomaik, Simeul, Digitron,  elitecstrike, ZenFR, Nuevo, grajson, Hollowman338, Bysup, CannaBanana

I am also running to become a delegate. So I hope to, in return, receive support and be on your voting list as well.

If there are others who are looking to become delegates on a reliable machine and would like my vote, in return for theirs, let me know.

Best Regards
