Hello I hope some of you guys can help me out here. If you want to build an decentralized marketplace, where the mainstream people could buy stuff online, how would you do the payment? I mean, mainstream people dosent own bitcoin lisk or anything else, but only creditcards. But if its build with creditcards, it isnt decentralized. Is it? Hope someone have some ideas here Thanks in advance! Maybe you shouldn't think in absolutes. Wenn you deal with fiat money, then, yes, part of your marketplace won't be decentralized. Other parts will. How you implement a fiat gateway I don't know exactly, but one way or another, you'd have to have a unique selling point, a thing that makes your marketplace different than others and better than others. My suggestion: a built-in escrow service. A decentralized escrow would be groundbreaking app for LISK. It is much awaited in the crypto world. It will come one day I suspect. Some markets that are used on TOR have fell through and ran away with escrow money. Also porting TPB (the pirate bay) onto a LISK sidechain would be cool.

I don't have deep pockets but each time it drops lower and lower, I try to buy between 100-250 LISK a pop. So if it keeps dropping, i will keep microbuying.

The problem you would have with an automated, decentralized escrow would be that you need an impartial third party to resolve disputes. You could probably use smarts contracts to escrow currency to currency exchanges, but how do you keep the buyer of any other object from gaming the system? I know that I was the one suggesting escrow, but still, it is a problem that needs to be solved.

It took more than a year for XEM to make a move and LISK is only weeks old. Give it time.
