Just dont get goxxed. Only keep on the exchange what you would use for trading. If you dont controll the private key, they are not your coins, but a mere promise from someone you probably dont even know.

People say this a lot in regards to bitcoin, but know one se ms concerned that we all accept the same risk with our fiat being held in a bank. If you keep your fiat money in a bank, technically you don't own fiat currency! You just own an greement that the bank will pay you back. Why is this when ch a gr ater concern with bitcoin?

A few different storage options is wise but don't get carried away if you have small balances. You're not a target for theft if your balance is less than a bitcoin.

I've been keeping more of my bitcoin with freebitco.in. Their interest payments are a solid deal....4% is very fair for my risk to of not having to the private keys, it's more than i get from Coinbase or Circle!

I store mine in my full node's wallet, because:
- it ensures that every transaction I accept and make is valid; I'm protected against dishonest miners,
- only my full node knows precisely which transaction is mine,
- making and receiving transactions using my full node contributes towards Bitcoin's economic strength (https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinBeginners/comments/3eq3y7/full_node_question/ctk4lnd/), and
- my full node helps to contribute towards the decentralization of the Bitcoin network Smiley.
I do the same to and I agree with that also, it helps the bitcoin network to be stronger and we know that it needs it. I don't know if there is an incentive in running a full node but I hope there is, just even a little because it helps a lot, and I read here that I think previously there was or something.

I have my own ledger wallet. It is only $50 and you can do anything with it and you will never scare about losing your money or being hacked by cyber criminals. Well, hardware wallets are the best

None of the above

This sounds good. I think there didn't any sense just keep such a small amount of Bitcoin in a wallet, it's never given you good profit while a good capital related to good profit in forward. So, focus to keep growing your Bitcoin through investment or altcoins trading must be the best choice.

Trading is always an good choice to grow your coins but make sure that you withdraw your profits regularly and keep them safe in your offline wallet as keeping bitcoins on exchange sites is very risky as you never know when the site will get hacked or disappear which will result in big loss.

I think this is the best way to benefit from bitcoin by investing and trading altcoin, but if we are in the must to choose one of the two to minimize which loss is better trading or investment?

I guess it would be better to create multiple online wallets and divide your earnings to avoid cyberpunks. Thank you for the advise!
Yes exactly it like a saying we have is “don’t put all your eggs in the same basket”. The best option is to use multiple wallets for your earnings and savings.  But the risk in any case is there. It doesn’t mean that there is no risk now, you can never eliminate the risk factor, the only thing that you can do is just minimize the risk.

I also do not have a lot of coins, so I store them in the purse of the blockchain.info. I have not installed other wallets yet. All my assets are stored only in this wallet

Internet is a big requirement in able to use of bitcoins there properly. Just don't put your coins at those untrusted we wallet website so you can avoid being scammed.

Being scammed out of your bitcoins is one thing. Having your bitcoins lost or stolen from your web wallet, like what happened when Mt. Gox — the largest Bitcoin exchange at the time and therefore arguably one of the most "trusted" web wallet providers — collapsed in 2014, is another. Trusting a third-party with control of your bitcoins is antithetical to the whole point of Bitcoin, at best, and a highway to catastrophic financial ruin for the user, at worst.

This is the risk in web wallet but if you know what you are doing or you know the web wallet well, then it's up to you. With me, I trust my web wallet(local). Though it's better to have a desktop wallet / hardware wallet but I'm also aware that I will be more of risk if I'm going to use those things so I prefer web.

I store my Bitcoin on both online and offline wallet. Mostly on offline wallet though.
I don't really trust online wallet but I still use them to store my Bitcoin. Tongue

me too, i just store it in my online wallet, it is safe there because many of my friends and my co citzens uses it. it is secure and hard to be lost and to be hacked its because before you verified it, you will need to send any valid id and you need to be certify it that your the real person behind your acccount and you are the owner of the id.

I store my bitcoin in a web wallet i think its the most recommended wallet of all because what ever device you are using you can use your bitcoin or you can open it you just need a internet connection and a browser.

That is not true in my opinion, nobody will recommend you a web wallet if you are looking for something else in wallet service.
Web wallet might be indeed a best solution for someone that needs to have access to his bitcoins everywhere in the world, for example if someone is in the journey around the world, then he needs to be able to connect to his wallet through some kind of a mobile device: smarphone, tablet or anything else.
But if you need security more than being capable of connecting to it from any place, then paper wallet or a hardware one is better.

So as you can see, web  wallet is not the most recommended one. It is only useful in some situations, but I do not advise you to rely on this type of way to store your bitcoins.

Yes, online wallet is really practically to use, but It is not good to save big amount of money. I ussually use blockchain, the mobile version is really easy to use.

So mostly everyone think that the most secure way to store the Bitcoin(s) are using a paper wallet? yes they are secure, it is getting more reliable if you are using the multisig approach
