It's a transfer of value. Of cours it is used for illegal activities.
Not that its negative, it may be positive, because it brings a lot more of users and activity. Then again, it creates a bad image, so I am not totally sure..

I didn't realize this was still being talked about. You've got to be joking though because money is money. Wherever financial gain is possible, illegal activity will follow. It's as simple as I can explain it. Why even attempt trying to find out when you could just think of the US dollar being used for money laundering.
Bitcoin is entirely different with any other fiat it is anonymous therefore more prone to be used by criminals in illegal activities.That said there's no reason to give bitcoin a bad name just because of its anonymous natureBitcoin is not anonymous ( http://www.bitcoinisnotanonymous.com/), it is pseudo-anonymous. Because many ppl think so, it leads press to write all this bs about bitcoin. Whats more, many bitcoiners spread incorrect information about bitcoin beeing anonymous, fulling the debate and use of bitcoin for illegal things. |

Yeah people are surely making use of Bitcoin for some illegal activities. They make use of the fact that you can make use of Bitcoin with out being traced. Unless bitcoin ask more personal information people are going to keep doing this.

Each and every day a huge transaction is taking place through bitcoin for illegal activities. These doesn't mean bitcoin support it, but the technology gives a way that's it. |

Each and every day a huge transaction is taking place through bitcoin for illegal activities. These doesn't mean bitcoin support it, but the technology gives a way that's it. Well, bitcoin transactions are very difficult to trace, so very many people who take advantage of this moment to perform illegal transactions which can not even be on track |

Like any other currency? Of course. Criminals use any currency in the world from USD to AUD etc... every place in which there is a currency it's being used for local criminal activities, Bitcoin is a global currency and of course some criminals would be using it.

So we can't accuse the bitcoin's currency to being used for illegal purposes. That is true,but in bitcoin its more easy for criminals to get profit from doing their transaction without being caught on the street. |

Yeah, mainly for transferring funds without being noticed by the authorities.. But I think if they are about to pay some illegal goods that they bought, fiat would still be the best and hand to hand, not thru fund transfer... |

Government can ban bitcoins with all such lame excuses. In fact in many countries they are banned. Paper money is also used for many type illegitimate activities but gov will not /can not ban it because it is controlling it. The actual reason behind ban of bitcoin is government can not control it.

There are a lot of people that is using Bitcoin for illegal activities, and it is not that bad because you always know that there will be also bad people in Bitcoin.
They use Bitcoin as a payment method because it works very easily and fast and you can know what the person has bought with Bitcoin and that is good for the criminals.

There are a lot of people that is using uᴉoɔʇᴉq for illegal activities, and it is not that bad because you always know that there will be also bad people in uᴉoɔʇᴉq.
They use uᴉoɔʇᴉq as a payment method because it works very easily and fast and you can know what the person has bought with uᴉoɔʇᴉq and that is good for the criminals.
I think that cash is more and more and more used than btc in illegal txs also other forms of payment (like offering sex) is more used .... |

will this hurt uᴉoɔʇᴉq in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering
Yes of course bitcoin used for illegal activity,we often heard some news that bad guy like terorrist use bitcoin,i dont know its true or just fake news,but i think something like that will impade bitcoin popularity and developing bitcoin will come slow,because many people will think that bitcoin is illegal payment. |

Well sure bitcoin may support and keep being traded on the dark markets ,the same way as fiat,and well with bitcoin is possible maybe to make the money clean just by opening some exchange or other bitcoin related project.
yeah bitcoin has the advantage of data confidentiality and anonymous. even you do not need an email. no personal data for using bitcoin. This course is very helpful for illegal activities right ? such as money laundering and so on? how to cope with this? |
