It's not just bitcoin that can be used for illegal activities. Most anything actually can be used for anything, it's the intent and motivation of doing things that gives an instrument a good or a bad reputation. Just like the saying the money is the root of all evil. But I believe that it is not correct since money is just a tool or an instrument to get something.

I think yes, but we never know it because their transaction is really secret. I think the illegal activites only for 1-5 transaction. it's make us hard to detect it.

As long as no one admits it that they are using bitcoin for their illegal activities, then we have no proof. Bitcoin transactions anonymity is the only thing we know that it could possibly be used in illegal activity. Everything that has a value can be used in illegal activity and bitcoin is one of those. |

Bitcoin is not anonymous. Its ironic that pseudo-anonymous bitcoin is used for illegal things. Usually criminals learn the hard what what does pseudo-anonymity of bitcoin mean. |

Sure, But anonymity of bitcoin make have much problem for bitcoin, example: some countires,merchant,online store need to think againt to accept bitcoin become one of their legal payment. but it's for some time ago. I think for now, example: "for Europian Union,In October 2015, the European Court of Justice ruled that bitcoin transactions are exempt from consumption tax similarly as traditional cash.According to judges, the tax shouldn’t be charged because bitcoins should be treated as a means of payment." More over they use bitcoin because its of anonymity and its not easy to tracked. even if they say its not anonymous, it really is. its not easy to trace and if authorities can't link accounts then authorities can no longer pursue. why do you think people are are still extorting each other? |

Bitcoin is can bo use both on legal and illegal things.Common peoples commonly use bitcoins for legal things such as business and extra income.But there are people that is using bitcoins on illegal things such as buying drugs online,weapons,and other illegal things specially on deep web.They abuse it because of it's anonymous transaction that they will benefit in.
Yup it can use it in illegal and legal transaction its up to the owner if they use it in illegal or legal transaction. Like me and my friend im using it in legal way i earn here in legal way. My friend earn in illegal way in deepweb he transact to other users and earn bitcoin. But if you use bitcoin in illegal transactio you have a chance that you will go to jail. |

yeah because it's not physical form that makes it easier bitcoin being misused. using digital money is easier to use and sent to anywhere This will make it easier to carry out illegal activities let alone the nature of the anonymous bitcoin. This makes a lot of people interested in using bitcoin for illegal activities Of course Bitcoin is used by illegal activities and that is because you can easily use Bitcoin as a payment method and that is nice for the currency. But it is also bad but we cant know what will happen with the value of Bitcoin and that is bad. |

Yes. There was actually one incident, if you know silk road, who sell illegal drugs using bitcoin. The government find them and they were actually put into jail. Even though how private bitcoin is, still, the government has ways to look after these bad guys. Even today, we might not know or have learned about them but there are several of them.  |

I hope that the usage of Bitcoin for illegal activities won't affect the adoption of this cryptocurrency. If it will then there will be no logic in this. Money, gold, knives and even simple cars are being used for illegal activities for many years and still we are using all of those things in everyday life. |

I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering
I guess it depends on who uses bitcoin. I personally use bitcoin only for positive activities, and only some people using bitcoin for illegal activities. And the government will not remove bitcoin, Because bitcoin is decentralized. hehe thank you |

Its all depends on user how to plan to use it but a specific payment system isn't made to use for illegal activities,many people use cash and many other payment systems for illegal activities.

Lawmakers are rich folks, they can change laws whatever they want. You can use Bitcoin everywhere, nobody can limit that. That's why these rich folks are afraid of Bitcoin.
