Let me put it this way: I'd argue that if Bitcoin could not be used for illegal activities, that it isn't a currency. (A.A.); Additionally people fail to realize that the currency used for the most evil is currently the dollar ($). One could also argue that this reduces the number of stabbings and whatnot. The money that they are printing is the root of all evil and they are just trying to manipulate the sheep to not think for themselves.

that's dumb statement, bitcoin is a currency and currency can be used for anything if the user want, just like people do use dollar to buy drugs or anything illegal? its the same like when you use btc,and about money laundering, its possible to be done through any currency, do you ever saw people buying a very simple painted canvas with only 2 colors like red and blue ? and they bought it for $5 million? do you think its normal or money laundering?
Yes, with exception that governmetns and banks control fiat. And they wont do anything to ban fiat. Why would they? they can print it at will and do whatever they want with it. They dont control bitcoin, they cant print bitcoin, and they can cheat with bitcoin. This is a reason you see lots of negative press about bitcoin. Banks and gavernments dont want ppl to use it. Thus, the easiest way is just to scare ppl that bitcoin is only used by criminals or it is a scam.

criminals are just taking advantage of the anonymous part of bitcoin(yes bitcoin is anonymous if you don't deal in fiat and you not have your name attached to your address...), that's not bitcoin fault
bitcoin was mean to have some privacy in comparison to fiat, you may seen it as cash which are digital
what really hurts bitcoin, is those hacker stealing 30k coins on exchange and dumping it the next day, everything else is pure fud

I would have to agree and say it is involved on the same way any form of currency is, the majority of news about bitcoin tells us as much.

Bitcoin is money. Every illegal activites that associated in money can also be done in bitcoin. And no, I see it won't hurt bitcoin in the long run because after all good news about bitcoin still dominates over those bad. Just deal with it because it's usual.

bitcoin like any other currency is being used by criminals, this does not mean that bitcoin is for criminals. in fact cash is being used by criminals more than bitcoin ever was used in history.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Well so fiat money is also used for illegal transactions but the government does not prohibit fiat money. Criminals using bitcoin for illegal transactions is reasonable because if using bitcoin will be difficult to track who they are, bitcoin is very anonymously. There are some challenges with how ISIS would turn Bitcoins into physical currency in the states in which it operates. Many ISIS controlled territories do not have the technology to extract high amounts of Bitcoins for cash. However, nearby Turkey, Israel and Dubai all have a small but flourishing Bitcoin community, with a few Bitcoin ATMs available. Bitcoin ATMs work just like bank ATMS and are electric communication devices that allow Bitcoins to be exchanged for cash without the need for a cashier.

Simple fact is there are a lot of bitcoin haters and they highlight and spread bad news about BTC more than the good news, though it is true that some criminals are using it but it is not the fault of bitcoin.

That most do not use that. Of course, it is used for illegal things but I do not so often. And if it is used, we still know not. So we do not know exactly actually.

Yes, like every currency, Bitcoin is being used for illegal activities. However, I'd say the ration between "clean" money and "dark" money will be higher tha with fiat, where at leat 1/10 of the total cash was ever used for illegal activities.

I think Bitcoin is simillar to cash and with that, there will be bans/no more privacy if it gets widely adapted, unless something is done about it.
If it is used for illegal activities? Yes, for things such as drugs, guns(maybe?), but cash is also used in this way by some people.

In US, more people die from car accidents than from exploding hand grenades. Can you guess why live hand grenades are largely illegal to own, while cars are not? Tell me if you need a hint.

No one can shutdown the bitcoin or blockchain network as it is decentralized work on peer to peer basis. Government can also only restrict their exchange but this is not gonna happen in whole world. Even cash is used for illegal activities so it depend upon how it is used not on what is used.
