We only agrees that science has a lot to learn. But that it also makes progress everyday. Don't get cute!

I am cute. I don't have to get cute. Now that you know this, since we have spoken on very few subjects, why do you think that this is the only thing that we agree on?

Cool

And now let's see the illogical argument from BADecker. I mean, we know that he'll find something. He's too sneaky to be otherwise.

Exactly!

Since we haven't been talking about Settlers of Catan, we don't know if one or the other of us likes it. But just because we don't know, doesn't mean that we do or don't like it.

When we don't know if something scientific is law or not, we form a theory about it. The theory isn't there to state that the thing is a law or not. The theory isn't there to make the thing a law or not. The theory is there to help us examine the thing in more detail, so that we can figure out if the thing is a law or not.

It's just like us. We ask questions about the beliefs of each other, not to make us believe similarly or differently, but to find out if we do believe similarly or differently. We might believe similarly or differently without knowing it. The questions we ask don't determine how we are. They simply tend to help prove how we are.

"Exactly!"

We're proving in a logical way there is no God and you go like: "You don't think there is a God which means you have faith which means you believe there is a God which mean bla bla bla". But that's okay. You are free to believe whatever makes you happy. Me? Star Wars makes me happy and I believe it. Also cool. Just don't try and impose your flawed belief system upon others.

You are wrong again!

Science does not "form a theory about it"... nobody "forms a theory"... everyone "forms a hypothesis"

In science, everything starts as a hypothesis

Only after testing and confirmation (proof) does the hypothesis graduate to become a theory or law.  A theory is factual/proven consensus reality, whereas a hypothesis is just an educated guess

A theory and law are equally verified/proven hypothesis... a law is not better than a theory, nor a theory better than a law... neither can be equated to a hypothesis, like you keep trying to do

Actually, you are just talking.

I showed you the proof that God exists. When you examine my posts, you will find that I showed how the proof works when asked pointedly about aspects of the proof.

Nobody has been able to show how the proof doesn't work. Essentially the best that they can do is emphatically say that the proof doesn't work. Simple talk doesn't make it so.

I see you forgot words can have multiple meaning in different context (times I explained this to you = 4)

Faggot can mean a bundle of sticks, a cigarette butt, or a homosexual... If someone is "throwing a faggot on the fire"... context tells me the definition I should use would be the one about a bundle of sticks... possibly a cigarette butt... I hope they are not throwing a homosexual on the fire... then I'd have to assume they were a Christian!

In a scientific context, you should be using the first dictionary definition from your list... the one that specifically mentions scientific theories...

Quote
1. a coherent group of tested general propositions, commonly regarded as correct, that can be used as principles of explanation and prediction for a class of phenomena:
Einstein's theory of relativity.
Synonyms: principle, law, doctrine.

Haven't forgotten at all. The hypothesis about a thing that is stated as a theory, is even more questionable than the theory itself... at least until the thing being theorized about has been proven to be a law or not.

...God, Who science proves to exist, actually did examine science before He set it in place

Yet another claim pulled directly from your ass

Prove it

It is a logical conclusion based on the things that god's witnesses in the bible said and say.

It is a hearsay (at best).

Oh, because the bible says so?

The bible also says that rabbits chew their cud like a cow

The bible says unicorns exist

The bible condones slavery in no less than 5 different books

The entire old testament is filled with murder and genocide

The bible places Jesus in cities hundreds of miles apart on the same day

The bible says the earth has four corners (implying the earth is flat)

The bible says God created light... 3 days before he created the sun and stars...

The bible is wrong on so many things... Literally hundreds of provable errors and contradictions

I will gladly provide dozens of links to scholarly sources on the subject if you are interested

The one thing that annoys me the most is that "everyone can understand bible in their own way" or such the cases that you've said can be understood differently from person to person or completely ignored. Ignoring the bad parts and counting just he good ones, The Evolution of Bible. Therefore bible is as much as a blank papers bounded together, it's just a great hitorical artifact, nothing else absolutely.

This is why the real Bible, the original written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, was written in those languages, which are meaning specific in the things that they say.

So you talk and read Hebrew Aramaic and Greek then? Or you don't understand the Bible either?

Actually, now that you mention it, I do...

I have read the book of Genesis in the original Hebrew, thanks for noticing... I have also read the Zohar, but that hardly counts since it is only commentary on the Hebrew Bible...

Here is an example from the first sentence of Genesis...

בְּרֵאשִׁית, בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים, אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם, וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ.
Bereshit bara Elohim et hashamayim ve'et ha'arets.

Literally translates:
In the beginning, gods created the Heavens and the Earth

Elohim is the plural form for gods, not singular God... that would be El (אֵל), not Elohim (אֱלֹהִים)... Elohim is plural...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elohim
Quote
Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים) is a grammatically plural noun for "gods" or "Deity" in Biblical Hebrew

Not bad for an old Jew, eh?

What about you BADecker... you said you don't read Hebrew, but have you even read the bible in English?

I ask because you don't appear to know much about what it says... yet you make claims that there are translation errors after you admit you can't even read the language

Strange that neither Elohim nor El is used in either of those passages, eh? (1 Timothy is not even part of the Hebrew Bible)

Besides... you JUST CLAIMED, "was written in those languages, which are meaning specific in the things that they say"...
How meaning specific could it be when the word that God chose to write is Elohim (plural), but we are supposed to interpret as El (singular)?
God fucked up?

(bear in mind this is still the first sentence of Genesis (7 words)... don't even get me started on the second verse!)

Cool

I think you mean many Gods as one God.  Persons would die instantly outside of our atmosphere.  No oxygen, too cold and radiation would fry all our cells.

People first started with polytheistic religions, monotheistic religions came later.  Writers of the Bible probably heard about Panchayatana puja and its five gods: Shiva, Vishnu, Devi or Durga, Surya and Ganesha.

I think going from many to one is a move in the right direction.

Since the Bible states elsewhere that God is One, we have a plurality of persons in a singular God, no matter how you look at it.

The Hebrew Bible says that?  I'd love to know what book, chapter and verse... please educate me

Deuteronomy 6:4

1 Timothy 2:5

Strange that neither Elohim nor El is used in either of those passages, eh? (1 Timothy is not even part of the Hebrew Bible)

Besides... you JUST CLAIMED, "was written in those languages, which are meaning specific in the things that they say"... How meaning specific could it be when the word that God chose to write is Elohim (plural), but we are supposed to interpret as El (singular)?  God fucked up?

Anybody who thinks that he is going to understand God, when God is a user of cause and effect the way He uses it, is going to have trouble. The thing we need to do is accept what God says, because it is truth from God.

...God, Who science proves to exist, actually did examine science before He set it in place

Yet another claim pulled directly from your ass

Prove it

It is a logical conclusion based on the things that god's witnesses in the bible said and say.

It is a hearsay (at best).

God fucked up?

(bear in mind this is still the first sentence of Genesis (7 words)... don't even get me started on the second verse!)

Anybody who thinks that he is going to understand God, when God is a user of cause and effect the way He uses it, is going to have trouble. The thing we need to do is accept what God says, because it is truth from God.

Which truth?  Did a singular God create the universe, or a group of Elohim?

According to the original Hebrew, it was a group of gods who created the universe...

And as specific proofs appear his answers appear slower. What's the matter BADecker? Don't tell me you're out of ideas.
