Other news:

Coinwarz has updated their site to use zpool's block explorer, since we are still having problems with the 64 bit version of the Windows wallet.

Check the difficulty after the hard fork!



This is a good thing because high difficulty means people want Terracoin (especially now that merged mining is working!).

I was a little worried about people still mining the old version of TRC so I checked today and the old version has a hash of zero.

That means the Terracoin Foundation now has full control over TRC and we can stop worrying about having to duel with the old wallet.

We plan to release an updated road map soon, and another TRC give away.  Thanks everyone!

Solo mining any coin using the SHA256 algorithm would be a waste of time on a laptop, especially with merge mining working (since that drives up the difficulty).  You need dedicated mining gear or at least a crazy good graphics card.  I recommend using a pool or p2pool, even then there is little chance of you breaking even with a laptop.  Coinwarz.com is a pretty awesome resource to figure out what is worth mining.  If you only have a laptop I recommend POS coins.  They don't require any special gear, and they are fun to play for a while.

I do recommend buying up as much Terracoin as you can right now.  The price is so low because the old developer abandoning the coin.  Since the Terracoin Foundation has taken over we have pulled it out of its nose dive and we will continue to make it grow into a strong alternative to both Bitcoin and fiat currency.

Plans for Terracoin

  The current goal of the TRC Foundation is to increase the number of transactions per block to two.  As you can see from the image below only 10% of the transactions in the last twenty blocks have two transactions.

  This is a huge goal, but it also can be shown with an actual number which makes it a goal that can be measured.
  How do we do that?
  We create a need for TRC to be used.
  We need websites where TRC is accepted and in a perfect world we need a website that only accepts TRC.  I was thinking of a non-profit organization.

  The most important thing we need right now is your input.  Post your ideas below.  Thanks everybody!

Can someone supply a list (or a link) of legit altcoin gambling sites so I can submit TRC to them?  I know gambling sites aren't going to make transactions shoot up, but it will help get the word out that Terracoin is back in action, and even if we get 1 more transaction per 20 transactions it will help!  Thanks!

Don't worry I haven't forgotten about getting TRC added to another exchange.  I am just waiting a bit longer for the votes to tally.

Been playing around with the thought of creating an exchange from scratch. It was for the sake of supporting DVC (Devcoin) but if I have the time and will to create it, I'll definitely add TRC too.
At the moment, I have several projects, among creating buy-sell-bots and then also work + hobbies + family, so there is not so much time.

That is also a very very very long term goal for the Terracoin Foundation!  Maybe in a year or two we can join forces.

I voted for bittrex.

Although I would like to see TRC back on btc-e, I think it is better to first gain some traction elsewhere.

BTC-e delisted terracoin on their own, so they should also decide by themselves to relist it, when time has come...
