https://dailyhodl.com/2018/08/21/bitcoin-ethereum-litecoin-stellar-and-verge-coming-to-1000-stores-in-colombia/

I think quite a few people do use it to buy things, verge has a very large list of online stores which accept it, though most of those stores sell mostly particular products, the same goes for other currencies also, crypto as payment method is not widely adopted and we just don't have the same purchase options as we do with fiat. That can change very quickly when there is a payment option in physical stores.

People should hold, but they should also use verge as a currency, doing both these things will support the currency and keep its value up. But how do you hold and spend at the time? Well you do the same as you do with fiat, you have a savings account which you don't touch and you have separate spending account, so just divide up what your'e willing to save and what your willing to spend. If you don't ever want to touch your savings but support verge as a currency then when ever you want to buy something make the effort to convert fiat to verge and use that to make a purchase.

So, what would these stores do with your crypto shit? They need wholesalers and/or producers to accept it, too. 'Cause it's not so easy to convert it into any fiat currency.

This is fantastic news. We are very excited to be incorporated into https://twitter.com/NetCentsHQ's merchant services platform. $XVG will be spendable in 194 countries around the world at all merchants that accept https://twitter.com/hashtag/Visa?src=hash or https://twitter.com/hashtag/MasterCard?src=hash. https://t.co/B6bKGpcvSz https://twitter.com/hashtag/VergeFam?src=hash https://twitter.com/hashtag/massadoption?src=hash

it's very interesting , guy. what do you want more about XVG and is it strong enough to take off in the sky?
Let's buy it now or we will miss this chance at the cheap price . Let's see XVG reaching at 0.3$ in next months.
I seems verge coin price should increase within next few weeks. the news was good it will surely add value in the future. I see the price of altcoin increases, I think same thing to happen on the verge

Hi!
I have a question: I want to mine Verge on my pool (http://www.nlgpool.nl), but I'm getting this error message:

00:47:07: ERROR: rpc_do_call: 127.0.0.1:20102 500
00:47:07: ERROR Verge Unable to sign block, wallet locked?
00:47:07: *** REJECTED :disappointed: Verge block 2439460 1 txs

I really don't know what to do to get it going ... anyone has a solution?
(my wallet is not locked btw....)

I'm on a yiimp based pool

Thanks in advance!

if you goto the discord app or webpage for verge, there is a mining help section on there.

just post the same thing there, and someone that knows, will answer. (maybe same day even lol)

We are getting a little upswing today on bittrex. But since it has a very small volume of traders. I doubt if it can go on any higher than 5%. I'll just continue mining verge, until the market returns.

Perhaps you have manually set the RPC type to POW? That would be a correct assumption and I made that mistake too. But they used POS type RPC, even though it's not a POS coin. I don't really even know the technical difference of those RPC types but that's what caused rejected blocks for me. Don't remember what the error was anymore.

I tried to mine it too today on the same pool and had a lot of issues. Three shares got accepted then nothing for two hours, lots of failover issues.

I tried to search the coinsoda exchange in coinmarketcap.com, and could not find it there.
Has the coinsoda exchange really safely to deposits, withdrawals, tradings?
Coinsoda is a new exchange, the site says that this exchange will work in 33 days. But there is a beta version. I think this exchange is not safe now.

That does get quite annoying. If would be cool if the board software automatically reduced picture size by a factor of 10 when quoting includes large pics. Something to consider...

Not to be knit picky but there are two designations in cryptocurrency jargon that depict what a it does. Tokens or coins. Currencies would be designated as coins. Utilities securities, ecosystems etcetera are deemed tokens. So XVG is most definitely a coin and thankfully so.

So Verge is a pretty old coin and I think it's here to stay but how many people are actually developing the coin? I can imagine there must be a few things to manage now that it has a lot of trading volume and so many exchanges compared to a few years ago.

It's mostly a 1 man show being run by a fraudster who just recently deprived many of the dumb fanboys here of their money in the name of raising funds to strike the "deal of the century" by connecting with a porn site and it was hyped to take this dead coin to moon LOL  Grin. And no, I am not one of retarded fanboys.

Still loving me some Verge! Big things happening with the new codebase. I think it will help with future security. So much potential here. XVG is taking huge steps towards world mass adoption.

I continue to mine VERGE coin. The price is still very young, but I think the coin will grow.
On exchanges now traded large volumes, this is a good indicator. Good demand for this coin.

That is the spirit i am looking for. Although the price of XVG is not good at present, this is not a problem for XVG itself, but the entire cryptocurrency market is now the same.

It's good to get clear definitions. Not nit-picky at all.  So .... Coins run their own blockchains. Tokens (placeholders or symbols) ride on other blockchains.  But I think 'ecosystem' is way too broad a term to link so tightly to 'token'.   We could speak of the bitcoin ecosystem (the blockchain, the coin, the exchanges, everything built around it, etc.)  Bitcoin is certainly not a token riding on any other blockchain. It is the blockchain prototype, the grand-daddy of them all.
