I don't really have any issues with Christianity. The only time I have ever made any substantial statements regarding religion of any kind is when it actually has the potential to physically harm somebody. This one time, I read about an assault that had to do with a Christian attacking an atheist because they openly said they were atheist. Nothing else. They didn't harm them, nothing.

There have been 6 Atheists murdered with machetes in Bangladesh within the past year... The media doesn't report Atheists being murdered in foreign countries... nor do they report about countries murdering people for being homosexual The media only reports when ISIS is beheading "Christians"... if ISIS beheads an Atheist or a homosexual... nobody cares

Have to call bs on that one. back in the days when Jesus was supposed to live lifespan was much shorter than today, so 50 years back in the days are around 200 yeas in your reality. Take an example. Elvis dies in 76, around 40 yeas ago. If you want to find out what Elvises favorite food was you get loads of different results. After only 40 years no one know what Elvises favorite food was. many don't believe that Elvis died. If they start a cult we get a religion. The Dead Sea Scrolls proves nothing.
People have always lived a variety of ages. Right now you can find people who live to more than a hundred. And you can find people who live only to 35 or 40. Back 4500 years ago, multitudes of people lived to be 400 to 500 years ago. Nobody can refute this. The Bible is witness to it. Neanderthal man lived back then, and is simply an example of people living to 400 or 500 years old. Youtube search on "Dr. Don Patton" and watch some of his videos to see how modern archaeological scientists misdate archaeological history.

Quote from: -XXIII- on February 23, 2016, 07:17:03 AM ... You misunderstand: God created the angels, Jesus was one of them, he sent Jesus to Earth, we crucified him.
I think if Jesus was just an angel, then why Crhistian pray to him and make him as a God? why don't they just pray to the God? why should be there the third people? God can listen your praying, right? that's one thing I don't really understand about Christian's thoughts. Just because Jesus was an angel, doesn't mean He wasn't God as well. Consider, He was a man as well as God. Why not an angel as well?

People are people. Christians are simply people who have a certain knowledge and understanding. This doesn't mean that they are always good and wise. But you have to take people on a person-by-person basis, because none of us/them are the same.

Why stop there? Maybe Jesus was also Satan? Speaking directly about Jesus, Isaiah says in Isaiah 63:9: In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. The Angel of the Lord in the O.T. is thought to be the pre-incarnate Christ by many. I can still remember the first time I read the bible...
When I got to the second chapter of genesis I had a Deja-vu moment
I felt like I had just read the entire creation story, yet here it was again... almost the exact same thing repeated in the second chapter...
I found it strange that God felt the need to repeat himself so soon... It did not take long to realize that God repeats himself hundreds of times throughout the bible... I suppose God did not word it well the first time, and had to do it again? I dunno... never did figure out why God repeats himself over and over and over and over in the bible... seems like He should have hired a better editor before printing the thing

Bible is the assembled of many books in different culture ,tradition and different years, different prophets and apostles with different ideas and experiences, what written in the bible is the idea and wisdom of the writers.

Christians don't generally say anything like that. Actually, you are the first I have ever heard say this. Well, of course I didn't "hear" it. I read it in your post. But if you'd rather I heard it, I could read it out loud for you.

I didn't click on the links, so this may have been answered, but doesn't the Bible say that we shouldn't eat shellfish?
Land animals: 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth. 3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat. 4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. 8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you. Note: Hares are rabbits, which do not chew their cud like a cow or camel... God got this animal 100% wrong (also note, a coney is a hare/rabbit... God is redundant with his mistakes) Sea animals: 9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. 10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: 11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. 12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you. Birds: 13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, 14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind; 15 Every raven after his kind; 16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, 17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl, 18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle, 19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. 20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you. 21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth; 22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. 23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you. Note: this is only the tip of the iceberg... you also cannot eat meat and dairy in the same meal, etc... it's kinda spread throughout different books of the bible... God wasn't very organized when he wrote all those books... The Talmudic rabbis believed that the biblical text only forbade eating a mixture of milk and meat, but because the biblical regulation is triplicated they imposed three distinct regulations to represent it:
not cooking meat and milk together (regardless of whether the result was eaten) not eating milk and meat together (regardless of whether it was cooked together) not benefiting from the mixture in any other way Oh God xD Well it's a good extract! I shall just take it out next time someone says "but it's so stupid to see Muslims not eating porks, at least there is nothing like this in the Bible it would be dumb" ^^ If you had no idea about pork it wouldnt bother so much
