If your CPU mining then I would make sure this is on PC and not laptop. Never EVER mine laptop too much stress gets put on CPU and GPU on laptops and can often cause over heating and in worse case above where someone melted their laptop. At most PC can handle it so long as have good cooling and have the system for it. Laptop good for wallets but not for mining stick to desktop for mining or look at renting hash power or building a rig for mining.
Exactly. I have had a bad experience when mining with one of my laptop's CPU. It gets too hot when doing this task and it could result in its loss. It would recommend staking coins with a laptop instead, as it is not CPU intensive. Also, a Raspberry Pi could be a cheap way to stake coins, as well as using it for ASIC mining.

When can we stake?
That is an excellent question. Since Krypton is based on Ethereum, I think that it might turn into a PoS coin once ETH hits this stage. This is up to the dev to decide, but it would be really cool to be able to receive stakes from this rare crypto. Due to the fact that KR is still cheap, I think it could be the perfect opportunity to grow your stack and hold them just in case the PoS transition happens.

I'm interested in this coin now and started giving it some hash power. Only 70 MH/s for now to see how it goes.
Keep it up covertress.

What will be the total amount of coins on the market and total number of blocks once mining is done?

The fact that there's been issues even at the pool for a week now is discouraging to mine. Can you fix it already? It's been a week.

I wish there was a way to pin frequently asked questions on bct. This post by NoSoFast explains what you are seeing at the KR Suprnova Mining Pool: What's going on?
1 anonymous 33,554 0.000 2 pappydeez 26,844 0.000 3 dayton 11,185 0.000 4 Pasha 2,237 0.000
No one's receiving any shares or KR
It happens from time to time but you're still receiving full shares. Once the backend issues are fixed all the coins mined during that period will hit almost instantly. One time suprnova was freaking out about me doing a withdrawal because about 50+ coins hit almost instantly and the maximum recommended held in pool is 20. The "freaking out" message is just a reminder not to hold big balances on the pool. KR has fast blocks. Sometimes the poolserver falls behind in allocating shares and payouts so quickly. That's why you see 0s, or null/unknown where the blockfinder's account name should be. No big deal, happens all the time, but especially so with altcoins that generate more than 1 block per 60 seconds. You are still receiving full shares. When ocminer resets the pool, you will see your mined KR.

You appear to be connected. Mouse over the bars in the lower right. How many peers do you see? You can also try closing and restarting your KR QT wallet. Also, see this post: Krypton_Dev is coding a block explorer. When it is ready, I'll post it here. That would be cool and the next step for this great coin. I'm going to buy some today. However, I have been having issues getting the wallet to connect to the KR network as I get 0 connections when I write the net.peerCount command. Any thoughts on this? What does admin.peers show? It shows the null message after I type in the admin.peers command. I then waited a couple of minutes and wrote the net.peerCount command as well as the admin.peers command, but I am getting no connections to the KR network at all. Just in case, I am running GKR in Windows 10. Can you try this open port check tool? >> http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ Your KR wallet port, 17171, may be closed. It does appear to be closed, but I don't think that may be the issue since I have been using ETH with a port that has been closed and I have been able to receive connections to the ETH network. Perhaps, it is an issue with my PC. I will try this on a virtual machine. If your port is closed you need to make sure windows firewall is not blocking GKR, and you have to enter some nodes manually every time you start gkr. GKR has hardcoded nodes that will connect right away if the port is routed correctly and open. For real-time technical support, please join Krypton's slack and come by the room #technical-support. There is usually someone there to help ASAP. Click here for an invitation to slack >> slackinc955.azurewebsites.net

Nice, steady buys for kr. This is a great sign that people are buying slowly to load up on kr while the price is this low. The last thing we want is for kr to Skyrocket before all of us get a chance to buy at these prices.

Hi Covertress, Consensus 2016 is just around the corner and we don't have a proper block explorer. It would be helpful if Krypton is listed on some good Exchange before you pitch Krypton to any possible future investor at the Consensus. And any reputable exchange will require a proper block explorer. Is there any ETA for the Kick-Ass block explorer

Thanks for the update Covertress, din't mean to make you loose your sleep Awww, it was not you, shkbits. RagingBull told me there would be days/nights like this! lol The price we pay, to lead our own coin project. I feel constantly under slept but, completely enthralled. Not such a bad combo afterall. And something tells me I'll have plenty of time to sleep on the bus to New York. I promise to write and tweet about the entire adventure. I'll be fine. Save your prayers for Krypton_Dev and the coming block explorer!

I wanna say some positive things about Kyrpton on the mining side.
I've been mining it for 24 hours now and think it's almost as profitable as mining any coin, but with a lot more potential.
I've dedicated only 3 video cards to it: 2x R9 280X and 1x R7 370. My average hashrate is somewhere between 55-65. It's varying quite a bit, but I've noticed that memory overclock on gpu affects the hashrate of Krypton a LOT, which is great. With Krypton, you notice a huge increase on ethminer immediately when you overclock memory, but on Ethereum, it doesn't change at all.
In 24 hours, I mined 145 Krypton. Taking 145 @ 0.0006000 satoshi, that's about 0.087 BTC = $4.82.
Not too shabby? I might point more to the pools soon.
So if anyone's wondering if mining Krypton is profitable, yes, it damn right is when you factor in how many you're getting per day and the potential for it to rise drastically.

So you lost money by mining it instead of ETH. Unless the price doubles or triples, not worth mining because supply is low.

So you lost money by mining it instead of ETH. Unless the price doubles or triples, not worth mining because supply is low. Not even close to needing to double or triple. Mining Ethereum would only yield at most $4.70 based on calculations at whattomine.com and from real experience, I only got $4.65 on average for the past 4 days mining with these 3 cards to test. So if KR went up only 35%, I'd already be making a profit. The gamble I'm willing to take, believing that KR will double it's value once more miners get involved and once covertress starts making appearances at these conferences. Different strokes for different folks
