The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the
first distributed timestamping system.

So what you're suggesting is they planned this at least 4 months ago, and could have potentially been quietly buying up a shitload of GAIA since then?

I am the first miner willing to sell KR. I am a Hero member and trusted member in the community. It is very difficult to mine and I am able to sell around 100 KR. PM me with serious offers only.

If this is public opinion, than don't buy GAIA, simple as that. Nobody is forced to do anything, and you have a lot of options to acquire KR. - buy gaia, swap - dont buy GAIA, buy ICO - dont buy gaia, don't buy ICO, mine it - don't buy gaia, dont buy ICO, don't mine it, buy on open market You can simply skip GAIA holders. Most are crying here, are probably miners, a lot of people don't know how and/or have difficulty to setup mining on ether based. And i think 5% a year from mining (at current premined 10mill, we don't know how many KR will be burned after ICO) it's a good long term thinking.

My question has not been answered yet. Do anyone knows the answer? I would like to use the QT-code if it is like I assume. Did I get it right that the maximum coin amount is 10 million? Is the coin based on Ethereum source code? If so, then the wallet could be easily transformed to a first Ethereum wallet!?!

Mining continuous Block Reward: 0.25 KR, Block Target: 15 seconds. Please check OP thread and read it more carefully, i think everything is in there that you'r asking.

Hello, Krypton! Welcome, everyone. I hope you’re as excited about the launch of Krypton as I am! I know you’re looking forward to reading Krypton’s development plans, so let me quickly summarize where we are and where Krypton is heading. Krypton is currently in stage 4 of the life-cycle of an Ethereum-based project. The digital cryptocurrency $KR has been created. ** Krypton will have a website and social media accounts to aid with marketing and dispensing news and development updates. Once the $KR token has been tested and approved and the Swap/CFC completed, Krypton will be ready for marketing and exchanges. Allow me to make a quick detour outlining Krypton’s plans to address a common question, $KR’s inherent worth. In order for someone to see value in this project, one needs to understand smart contracts. Here are a few excellent articles on the subject: In the future, trustless smart contracts will be included in most business models, from auto loans to home entry systems. The vast explosion of interconnectivity via the Internet of Things makes this indeed, an unmapped frontier. I hope it is clear that Krypton is more than a coin. It is, in fact, a token of a smart contract system. This is why you don’t see Krypton listed as some snappy and unique coin with a gimmick. $KR is a smart contract token that has not yet been licensed. Back to the plan. The next step is to market Krypton to projects that need a ready-made smart contracts blockchain on which to perform trustless transactions. An example of one such project, currently running on a Krypton-type, Ethereum-based platform, is Augur, which uses the token $REP. ** If you haven’t yet checked out Ethereum’s website ( https://ethereum.org/), I encourage you to do so. Their site does a nice job of explaining the life-cycle of an Ethereum-based project, like Krypton. Ethereum also lists many more companies that are currently employing smart contracts in their business models. Take a look at them. Consensus 2016 ( http://www.coindesk.com/events/consensus-2016/), CoinDesk's summit on digital currencies and blockchain tech, is only three months away. Companies looking to license Krypton’s smart contract capabilities will be there. So will I. "Smart contracts are really the killer app of the cryptocurrency world." -- Chris Ellis I invite you to join the Krypton community by taking part in the Croud-Funding Campaign in the coming weeks. We’ve just begun our journey. The frontier awaits. - covertress

I read the OP carefully but there is no information in the OP if the GUI source code is compatible with Ethereum's source code. By the way, it is not a good sign when the opening poster is not active this much here.

IMO, qt-wallet just reads the geth. If ether uses same version of geth, than probably it's compatible. But i'm no expert on this matter.
Covertress can you or your dev team, give some answers on this question.

The qt wallet reads the krypton version of geth, called gkr. That's correct, thanks notsofast. The QT will read gkr the Krypton version of geth. It can be used with geth if the source is modified and recompiled.
