Try a different pool.  Stratum in 1.1.9 is tweaked, and from some other reports I've heard there are problems with Dwarfpool.  I'm guessing they have undocumented (and unreasonable) expectations of the stratum implementation.

I am using http://ethermine.org, nanopool.org ..thats not a minor issue..it should work with all ...not only one preferable MPH ...that somehow not right.
That a force of shifting away haspower ..didn't u test ?

Yes, I tested on 3 pools: MPH, alpereum, and coinmine.pl.  I did have a small issue with coinmine.pl and stale share submits, because it was not matching the id of the share submit on the reply.  I notified the pool op of the issue after I noticed it.

Today I decided to investigate and see what ethermine is doing, and noticed that it's stratum protocol is actually like dwarf's.  To select dwarf(eth-proxy) mode, add -SP 1 to the command line.  I did a quick test, and was able to authenticate and a few shares were accepted.

Hello
I had to revert to version 1.1.7 of the AMD compiled miner because version 1.1.9 generates A LOT of STALE SHARES on miningpoolhub
the weird thing is that you don't see it on the miner as rejected but the stats on the pool went haywire since i updated to 1.1.9, go back to 1.1.7 and everything back to normal.

windows 7 64 bit, 8GB ram, AMD 5350 APU, 3x MSI R9 280X, standard clocks, -80mV VRM
anyone experienced the same?

the linux version directly is impossible to compile it on lubuntu 14.04, I think that maybe will work with never versions of gcc, make, etc, so i will install the new lubuntu 16, try again and post results and procedure.

Same here, I get about 16 MH/s with genoil on a 280x but only 14.9 with sgminer-gm same settings (1000,1500).

Hi guys!

Is anybody here mining with AMD Fury, non X version and possibly Sapphire manufacturer, I'm interested in the hash rate you're getting...

I'm mining with 2x Sapphire 390x - core 1080, mem 1500 mhz both --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 16384
getting around 28 mh/s per card

win7 x64 crimson 16.7.3.
16GB ddr3, AMD FX 4170

Cheers!

Thank you for your responses adamvp, Slydrule!  I wonder if I should sell these cards now.  It almost seems like I can get the same hashrate on 7970's, perhaps a little lower, but the R280X's are no longer worth buying anymore or seeking out.  Looks like it's time to re-invest into the new AMD RX480s. I loved my R9 290x's but all this equipment is going to have to be sold off it looks like, especially the 280x's.

I get great performance out of my 280x with other algorithms.  In fact, my 280x outperforms my 290s in some cases and I can lower the voltage to save on power consumption.  I've been in the crypto mining thing for almost 3 years now so I have gotten a lot out of all of my GPUs.  This stuff is evolving.  While the 280x may not be a great performer with ethash, it may work better with the next algorithm to come along or a profitable groestl or X11 coin if there are any left.

Did you check the effective hash rate on the pool? They might be the same or a bit higher. It depends on the card.

I blindly merged some PR by some dude (not you Ralph ) who claimend they would fix Ubuntu 16 build issues. I guess that was a mistake.

But I don't know if I'll fix it. Working on something else now, not sure if I'll ever release it  Lips sealed

Are you taking part in the Zcash (ZEC) public open source mining software contest - ends 27th October?

£10,000 prize for GPU miner
£10,000 prize for CPU miner

And, £10,000 in prizes going to the runners up?

How do I mine in stratum mode using Genoil for dwarfpool? Their instructions on their website are for ethminer. Can I actually use the same commands?

THE FIRST CARD I GOT WORKING WAS AN HD 5670--

When I put the HD 5670 to work with Genoil's early Ethminer, I got similar results.  It mined at about 4MH/s.  It was in the same league as a GTX 550ti when mining scrypt, about 100kh/s.  The HD 5670 barely generated statistics on NanoPool, the only open pool at the time.

The GTX 550ti will never mine ETH, and I don't expect the HD 5670 to mine much faster than 4MH/s with Dagger-Hashimoto, even if mining Expanse (EXP).  A GTX 750ti once mined ETH at about 8MH/s before the DAG became too large.  It outperformed the GTX 550ti by almost 2.5X when mining scrypt.  I reason that an HD 5670 is performing in its capacity if mining Ethereum at 4MH/s.  A good experiment would be to mine EXP with your HD5XXX.  The DAG is smaller, and may be small enough to be mined with a GTX 750ti at 7 to 8MH/s.  Expanse is on Epoch 13, Ethereum is on Epoch 79.  There is a lower network hash rate for Expanse, and a lower difficulty.

A GTX 960 hashes at 10MH/s, a GTX 970 hashes at 20MH/s, and an R9 280X hashes at 17.5MH/s when overclocked, all when mining Ethereum (ETH).  The R9 280X will mine Expanse (EXP) at almost 25MH/s, this is the rate you read about in older reports about mining ETH.  I reason you could put your HD 5XXX card(s) to good use mining EXP.

If you want to buy my HD 5670, let me know, the price won't be too high.  An HD 5XXX rig could sit quietly in the corner mining EXP for a long time, and the blocks are 8 coins big.       --scryptr

Hi,

is there anybody, who succesfully compiled ethminer under Ubuntu 16.04.1 and Cuda 8.0 ?
I'm using gcc-4.9, and I have some errors yet...

hi
is there something to do on sapphire rx470 4G 1216mhz gpu 1750mem  ? i only get 21.3mh
i tryed oc ram and/or gpu but best result are at stock speed
if i oc the ram it drop speed and 2000 is to high
 Huh

it s to expensive for only 21mh  when the r9 380 get 20.5 mh and 20% cheaper

and why the hell when mining expense r3 380 or rx470 get same speed than eth

and an r9 270 does 12mh on eth and 19 on exp ?  Roll Eyes  i don't understand that the r9 270 get mostly same speed as 380 & rx470

You need to use the BIOS mod. That will increase the VRam performance and can get you 27MH/s.
