Bitsend looks like a serious project similar to Dash indeed. just a matter of time till people catch on Smiley

They are serious.  Nothing wrong with using a great system.  Better since there is more liquidity with BSD.  Although I would love $200 per BSD, the ability to have lots of ppl use the coin is more important in the long run.  Solves an issue that DASH does have.

Step 2) Go to: Tools->Debug ->Console and write "getaccountaddress 0". Copy the address and send exactly 25000 BSD to that address (which is in your wallet).

after i did this, if i want to send the coins back to my wallet, i can just send them back? or is it somehow locked for a certain time?

How many people are running a masternode for bsd? and is there a limit for how many master nodes there can be ?

According to mybitsend.com there are currently 276 masternodes right now. I believe that 25,000 BSD have to stay in that masternode for it to function, if you withdraw them the masternode is gone or not active (not sure which).

Its the nature of a masternode. You always have to hold ur amount. But you can create some remote masternodes!

20% of the block rewards go to the miners, and 80% to the masternodes. This means that, essentially, you get the block subsidy and the transaction fees (if any).

No. They need to be on the address that corresponds to the masternode key in your configuration. You can hold the funds offline. There are two guides (one was corrected by me and the second one was entirely written and tested by me):
How to set up a masternode
How to set up a Remote Masternode

Creating a master node is not available to all as possibility because it requires good investment in the start. Solution could be creating first collective masternode(one or more) which can be run by LAUDA for example (if he is interested). Participants could get thair share weekly, this might be interesting?

Question for the Masternode experts.

To "Own" a Masternode. do I have to make the min. amount sit on my BitSend wallet? or I can just buy min. amount of BSD on exchange and keep it on the exchange - does the Masternode will still work ?

You have to start the masternode from the wallet where you placed the min ammount on.

See here for how to setup masternodes:
http://bitsend.info/forums/index.php?PHPSESSID=55896993725931c7c920d75cde4d1359&board=2.0

Never keep anything on exchanges except you don't mind losing it.
They can close you out form one day to the other and run away with your coins. Happend over and over again in the past.
