I'd highly recommend staying away from giving loans to people you meet on some forum.

After all, Bitcoin is an asset and it should be treated with respect and caution.

Never allowed someone to have loan or borrowed money it's a very risks indeed. This will not ensure that a certain person will pay you back. I agree this will gives you headache on collecting some money to that person.

It depends on where are you going to use your loans - loans are useful in terms of starting a business but keep that in mind that when you loan something always check the interest on how much you're going to pay for it.

This thread purpose is to seek an advise by the OP as he wants to try to start a lending business, it doesn't matter what purpose
the borrower has as long as he has the capacity to pay. We are in online world and we cannot validate how the proceeds are spent that's why it's
risky to give out loans here.

I'm not sure why are behind the loaning of your bitcoin if you are holding nearly 800 bitcoins? That's just crazy man, even ten percent movement in the bitcoin value can get you 8 bitcoin easily in fiat currency. That would be more safer wat to earn bitcoin for you. Well, loan can work but people can not be trusted easily now a days and in that also you are giving out the loans as online investment through internet with no mortgage or security from the end users. To be honest just try to save your bitcoin and watch it grow.

i'm only providing financial loan to my parent, due to the fact i know they will repay or i'll inquire to them when i need some, i'm not likely in the problems to consider bank loan from someone unfamiliar, i also do not believe in these internet site that work by supplying loan, so just do the very same and everything will be fantastic

I know that people give out loans but what's up with people no returning what they borrowed?? I want to know this because I might give out loans myself and I want to know what to watch out for... I have ~800 BTC at the moment and would it be a bad idea to start loaning? I bought my BTC back in 2010 mid August January(when it was about $0.07 per BTC) and I noticed the price went up a ton! Also what would be some other way to grow my BTC? Any ideas on what I should do?

Something I should have added my friend was doing something you guys call "mining" I am very knew to the bitcoin world even though I have had them for a long time. I bought these bitcoin from him because he needed to sell them, my financial advisor has told me that the longer I wait the more return I would get so I told him hold the account for 5 years and ill see where I am... So last July I had gotten my account back, did a bunch of research then found you guys. So I came here to post a few posts and for everyone skeptical this is the proof https://gyazo.com/ee99cef712e9b72f03a3e8e870c33624

Oh!! You should cautious with whom you are sharing this matter with. If you mistakenly share the knowledge  with someone  more clever than you since you said you are new to bitcoin and maybe you really do not know what to do with it and someone with a personal interest on it would just offer you a help and might just take all your coins in a click.

Guys, this is serious. Never borrow money from banks or your firends to buy bitcoin or other altcoins. This is too risky. You might be under a market crash and you can't pay them back. This makes you extremely stressful.
Yes, I agree with you mate. Loans are too risky just to buy bitcoin. Better invest in bitcoin if you have extra money. Well back from the OP's question, it is also risky to lend your btc to someone. A collateral must be required like any property the borrower had.Well, with the amount of BTC he got (800btc) , if this is really true, just forget about loaning option, just convert some of it into fiat and enjoy life. Then hold the remaining coins for the future.

I agree with you guys! It's unadvisable to borrow money from banks or from anywhere else just to buy bitcoins. One should gain bitcoin in his/her own expense, meaning it maybe from his/her extra money that he thinks he may not used just soon so he/she will not be worried if something happens since bitcoins depends on market status. Loans are not advisable, it is not worth it!

That would be a gamble to borrow money to make bitcoins, but if you believe you have that skills to achieve your purpose then why would you hesitate. Bank can offer a low interest compared to other lending business so you are talking a privilege to take a loan where you can repay the soonest as long as you succeed.

Giving loans its always risky! But if you understand the risk, and have good model to choose to whom you can give loan, it must be more safety. And of course create a good agreement.

Agree, lending business is really a risky one but if you can able to handle or lessen the risk then it would really be a profitable business thinking off that you wont do nothing and let your money earn for you overtime but the hard part is on lending to someone which is deserving and responsible.Choosing them would really be a challenge which one should be granted this is why we should always assure ny collateral from them.

A business certainly has some major capital resources, either for start-up or for development and operation of the company. Sources of capital vary, there is a result of cooperation with partners, capital from investors, as well as other capital sources such as through credit or debt. Debt is divided into short-term debt and long-term debt. This source of capital is needed to fund / fund the company's needs are quite a lot and diverse, ranging from the needs for the production process, delivery, promotion / marketing, employee salaries, product development, to operational costs such as purchasing machines and maintenance machines.

I will never not borrow to invest. I will just use the existing resources to invest. If I lose, it is just losing the original amount.

Borrowing from banks is also good since they do have long term due and you can choose how many years you would able to repay that loan and its really an advantage for you.If you do really trust your skills then dont hesitate as long you do know you can able to repay those loans since the due is very long and not in a hurry compared on other lendors which only give you a month.

Well, if you are sure take advantage some opportunities good, borrow from banks do not bad choice for you.
Honestly, even it helps you get rich if you really can make money from your opportunities great, example x10 from an altcoin Roll Eyes

Get rich with alternative coins is very difficult. You need to choose the right coin and have time to sell it. But you will never guess what decisions the government can make with respect to the crypto currency. Therefore, there is always a risk.
Similarly, there is a risk when you lend money. Investment activity is always connected with risk

I will never not borrow to invest. I will just use the existing resources to invest. If I lose, it is just losing the original amount.
Borrowing and investing is same as gambling. With gambling we don't have the assurance about the winning, whereas with investment we get an assurance of profit, but the legitimacy is observed over very few investments. One such investment opportunity available is the poloniex.

That would be the most confident strategy. But here we say "those one who doesn't risk doesn't drink a shampane". Just you know, when the risk is high the finale income is going to be high too. I understand those people who took a loan to invest in bitcoin, and I suppose they have win already. I'm invy them and to their braveness, just if I could do the same I could allow muself much more than now. But I'm like you are - prefer to risk only with my capitals, but not the other's.
