How are transferred amounts relevant in any way?
Whitepaper's abstract creates narrative as if XRB was superior to BTC in terms of blockchain size and its efficiency, while simple math shows it's the other way around and 1.7GB for 4.2m txs is rather poor result.
Unless there's something I'm missing, or maybe they've just messed up their numbers.
Your median is minimum size of single transaction without any, not database
If we compare full database with all additional information
Blockchain size yesterday 150,300 MB. Total BTC transactions 289,289,113. Average size 544 bytes
XRB ledger size (may vary) 1,367,089,152 bytes, 4,911,009 blocks. Avg 278 bytes
If compare simple tx size
Bitcoin: 1 input, 2 outputs = 225 bytes
XRB: send transaction 152 bytes
