Last halvings have given users good profit with the peak increase. Just of that people hope for a profitable halving this year too. No one is sure about the real facts behind halving, only time gives us all the answer.
I hope it will happen again for this halving, but so far now bitcoin downs to 440 as I have checked it out to blockchain but of course I will not depend on a single fluctuations or maybe bitcoin is just starting to sway for the higher price its going to result. We don't know what would be the exact scenario at the time of halving, but speculations says that this halving will bring some positive news for the users. |

I hope so. I expect a positive grow from the second halving.
I believe that this halving will bring the bitcoin to a new level. Basically it is an economic rule: most people want a goods, more this increase in value, especially if it will be less easy to find.
I think this halving bring to us a good profit, but only the time will give us the answer!

People are dumping bitcoins and buying other alt coins which recently got a lot of attentions, so price is going down.
It might as well makes the bitcoin the second coin in market. looks like ETH is taking advantage over bitcoin halving to come.

I think we are slowly moving to a higher price with a flurry right before, at which point i think there will be a sell off shortly after and settle at a lower price but still higher than today.  |

This halving will surely be an profitable as price has started to rise now so we can expect much better price as we get closer to halving. |

Not true, bitcoin had very low volume last week. The increase in ethereum price is due to voting rights needing to be paid in ethereum. Most of which came from fiat. |

Don't forget all that future price expectations are built into the current price. This is basic economics.
That's why when a company issues an earnings report, the price stays pretty much the same if it is in line with expectations.
If the aggregate consensus is that the price will increase after halving then the increase is probably already priced in as fewer people sell up and more hold on to their bitcoins already.

halving the previous or four years ago was quite successful with a sky-high price but this time the situation is different. the current price is already high enough to bitcoin and the user is not booming as halving the time before so the demand may not be as big as halving the time before, |

halving the previous or four years ago was quite successful with a sky-high price but this time the situation is different. the current price is already high enough to bitcoin and the user is not booming as halving the time before so the demand may not be as big as halving the time before, The increase in price was not immediate. Buy yes, if you compare the current price with the price existing 4 years ago, there has been a massive price increase. |

Halving is only profitable to those who bought/have BTC before the price of bitcoin has increased. The worst case scenario that can happen to you in the halving is that you bought BTC at the top of the pump and then you sold it at the bottom of the dump. Either way, since most of us already do have BTC as of now, then almost all of us will have profits when the halving comes. Users that have considerably low BTC might not be affected that much by the halving. They can get a profit but it'd be as little or much little as they own.

No one can say if the price of bitcoin will go up or down or the same after the halving. If the price will go up then it will surely be profitable. There are a lot of factors to consider in the outcome such aa adoption, transaction, hashrate, price, volime, investments, other currencies and more.  |

It has nothing to do with halving. ETH is not at all a competitor to bitcoin. Even more, bitcoin is the lone empire in the crypto world. And halving will bring it more powerful and more popularity too. I believe eth big rise (or I better say big pump) is the cause of the recent downfall in bitcoin price. but that is only temporary and will change as soon as the eth pump reaches its maximum and the massive dump starts. also bitcoin is the "lone empire" "the first" the big or whatever you want to call it but that doesn't mean it can't be manipulated like it is right now by the dumps to reduce the price. |
