Being a poll, desired answers can be derived by the form of the questions, which are not shown. People are religious creatures. All people have religion, even if it is their own private religion. Since I am not calling you a liar, we'll simply let the things you say speak for themselves. Where does the sky start? I mean, we all know that when you look up there, you see the sky, right? But where does it start? No, not the other end of it. The near end of it. Does it start 100 miles up? 50? 10? How about 100 feet up? Rather, doesn't the sky start right at the ground? I think the best religion is the one who has tolerance and respect to other religion. If you are going to push your belief to other religion, then misunderstanding erupts,there will be hatred and war will follow. Acceptance and understanding to other beliefs is a good way to start with. W should promote interfaith  |

W should promote interfaith What happens when your faith is tolerant and accepting of other religions but the other religion's adherents would force you to convert or kill you for you beliefs? You make it sound simple to solve this problem but it is quite complex. There will always be radicals. It's best to be prepared even if you are tolerant. I'm thinking Shoalin monk... |

I think that religious people should be wise. They should promote love, religious tolerance, respect toward others etc. but in the same time they should be ready to defend their family and country in the time of danger. There are a lot stories in Bible when Jews, for example, had to defend their homeland against enemy, and many stories about God's blessings and protection for their soldiers. We don't live in ideal world yet, so prayers and love is not enough always, unfortunately. |

i don't have to believe in religion , i just believe on god , religion are not always right and it is the one of many reasons why there are racism , discrimination and etc. and it also separating us because of this most of the people are not united .

me too , I do not need to choose any one of that, I do not believe in religion, but it doesn't mean that I do not believe in god , i'm a roman catholic actually but i do not claim that it is the best religion because in this world nobody is perfect only god makes a perfect thing for us . |

I totally agree! There is no best religion. Just believe on what you believe in. Live just the way you like it, just make sure that you will not do evil to someone else, everyday every way and any way. Btw I believe that do God exist. |

That means that the non-religious outnumber the combined strength of the business-minded and organized religions here in Bitcointalk (49 vs 45). The younger generation is becoming more intelligent, and moving away from religion.

I would even count the Buddhists as non-religious... They don't really push their beliefs on people, make religious laws, kill gays, etc... I can't recall a Buddhist ever shooting up a night club, abortion clinic, or movie theatre |

To their detriment, children of this and the previous generation have also forgone outdoor activity in favour of digital entertainment (granted this might be due in part to a shrinking amount of available green space). The children are making a choice based on affection or motivation which is using their "intelligence" but the move away from religion demonstrates neither an increasing nor decreasing intelligence in the younger generation. It simply represents change. The concept of "intelligence" encompasses a complicated set of phenomena which are not clearly understood. Your assertion that the younger generation is becoming more intelligent is unfounded. |

Most of the Buddhists are peaceful. But there are some fringe groups, which cause trouble every now and then. Examples are the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) of Sri Lanka and the 969 movement of Myanmar. But in general, they have a very tolerant view of other religions, and homosexuals. I would classify the religions to three: 1. Business minded religions: Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, Bahaism, and Judaism 2. Ancient religions: Zoroastrianism, Animism, Shamanism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism, Chinese traditional religion.etc 3. Irreligion: Atheism, Agnosticism, Non-religion.etc. |
