Not sure if this is was the original one can't remember. But yeah they are using, all of the constructor clever exploits. For example the weight on wings has been exploited for years using the carbor fiber in a certain direction it will not bend under weight of the test but it will at high velocity with the drag force.

Norris could have won the drivers' championship if McLaren had given him priority, but unfortunately McLaren cared more about the constructors' championship and let Norris and Piastri compete on equal terms, even when Norris could have had a chance to score more points. I understand what McLaren meant by letting both drivers compete on equal terms, but it probably won't produce a good result in the drivers' championship, and the result we might still see Max win the title, even when McLaren has a chance.
We see they do care about Norris more now, they didn't think Norris would be this close and that's why they made one mistake but I am sure they are not going to repeat it again and they are taking care of Norris a lot more now. So if there was ever a position where Norris is second while Piastri is first, then they would end up with switching positions if they can, and Piastri would mainly defend. That was one time, and they weren't really convinced Norris could be this close. To be fair, I think it was mostly about them thinking Max would have been better than this, nobody saw Max becoming this bad, not that he did but the car did and right now all three Mclaren, Ferrari and Mercedes all have better cars than Red Bull. This is why I believe we are going to see Norris have a chance. Constructors means something too, in the end we are going to see Mclaren win, and that's a new thing because we had 2 teams so far in the last 15 seasons or so, a new team is always a great feeling.

I wonder why the test hasn't changed if stuff like this has been found in the past. I guess bureaucracy is one reason why changes to standard test criteria are hard to change. It makes sense since money talks even outside of motorsport governing bodies. Anyone who benefits from the previous rule/test is going to oppose any drastic change that could affect their position in the championship.

The race isn't til the weekend after the upcoming one but I'll make the schedule anyway... I can't wait to see Norris and McLaren out there. Verstappen has had quite a big domination in Austin GP for three years. Isn't it time for him to lose this superiority you think? I think it is high time to see that. He is having this part of the season in a horrible way. He got a second position in the last race to relieve a little. But I still don't believe in him too much to even finish in top 3 of next race yet. We need to see some data to have ideas about it first. Anyway, based on the early odds it looks like the ban on McLaren's wing won't really matter. Norris is at 2.05, Verstappen at 5.00... Does Verstappen have any value in this spot?
Yeah the odds are like this. McLaren is still very strong and there are high expectations obviously. I hope Norris makes it. Piastri and Leclerc also have nice odds to give a shot for a surprise maybe.

^ Same here... I hope Norris wins. But then again with where Verstappen is lined at and how iffy the next race could be for the McLarens, Verstappen could be a value bet here. It might be another one of those things when the sports betting sites are late to adjust again. We've seen it at the start of the season when I started saying McLaren has the best car and the bookies kept lining Norris with 2.50's and 3.00's.
But yeah, dunno tho. Not really sure how Red Bull would look like with a Newey that has one foot out of the door. Hopefully for their sake, they push on through.

I think the rumor has been turned of from Toyota itself? Atleast in part. As I can read they will be a tecnical partner of Haas for sure but they also said that they have no plan to return in F1 as power unit supplier or a full F1 team. (AT THIS TIME) Last race of Toyota was in 2009 after 140 races and 13 podiums. Haas will stay with Ferrari for engine.

This is a partnership that will benefit both parties, especially since the Haas team principal is a Japanese, he can provide a lot of input to Toyota in the development of their cars and drivers.

Exactly, basically they will probably "leech" some high technology for their road car giving some money to haas as sponsorship. Atleast this is my speculation. Guenteher Stainer ex Haas is also speaking these days and in different arguments said that Red Bull could bring to Austin a "magic" floor. So it is expected to have a big upgrade for RBR

Yeah, it's not that we will have return of Toyota factory team. It's just partnership, something similar like now we have Aston Martin or previous Alfa Romeo - Sauber. If Toyota isn't returning as a power unit supplier but for only sponsorship then it isn't any important news. But it would be nice to see them supplying engine in the future of course. The new race weekend is about to start soon. It is time for the US Grand Prix in Austin. Here of course Norris is favoured again. Nothing surprising. But as of now he really needs to keep winning. If I said before I'm saying it again. I think Verstappen won't be able to maintain consistency in top 3 during the rest of the races. Norris must race completely focused. Even a simple mistake could end his chance for the title mathematically.

Probably the idea of using that type of rear not very important for them, which is also why they didn't protest. That was probably a minimal advantage over the other secret they have under the car as said by zack brown. it's all up to the other teams now, they have to understand what those at Mclaren have come up with.
Market is moving hard for 2026, and we got signal..

There are 52 points left between them and I believe Norris has what it takes to win this one too. I mean we are talking about a team which is possible to do some damage and because of this I believe we are going to see something changing at the current position. We should see six more races at the moment and 52 points is nothing to worry about for Norris at the moment and that's less than 10 points per race difference.
I believe if there is even just a single race where they end up with Norris wins the race and then Max ends up like out of top five type of thing as well. I believe we are going to see at least a race like that, we are going to end up with a lot races where Norris does greatly and Max doesn't do that great.

For the next year doors are already closed in many teams. Surerly he can join Mercedes in the last minute and they will "send" Antonelli to another Mercedes team like Williams, but it will probably not happening. 2026 however is a different story, with new cars and most importantly Adrian Newey to Aston Martin, the Messi of engineers will probably call him

Does anyone closely follow the acquisition of MotoGP by Liberty Media? Looks like they will face antitrust investigations from multiple parties due to fear of monopoly[1]. They own F2, Formula E, F1, etc so I can see why some people want to stop this. Not to mention they also block Andretti from joining F1 if I understand this correctly, which makes the US unhappy[2]. If Verstappen leaves there's no other team to go to except Aston Martin. Mercedes already signed Antonelli to replace Lewis Hamilton. If that signing hadn't happened yet, I'd think Mercedes is on pole to sign Verstappen. But no, all the drives that potentially could give the driver's championship are occupied by drivers they couldn't just drop. Ferrari just signed Hamilton too and they can't drop Leclerc as he just also signed a new contract... So it's either Verstappen stays or he goes to Aston Martin. We'll see it after next year.

So according to rumors redbull was cheating once again. Basically for what I'm reading FIA said in short words "Team cannot change the high of cars when the cars are locked down after qualify"
This is an old rule and you cannot break it, idk what is supposed to be the penalty.
After this announcer RBR quickly changed his car for removing the device who was doing it.
