Congratulations on the first pole position for Acosta, Marc Marquez set the fastest time, but was rightly penalised for the track limit and so Acosta has pole position ahead of Bagnaia. Martin crashed and Bagnaia will try to make up points in the championship standings.

Starting the Sprint from first position was clearly very good for Pedro Acosta even though at the start of the Sprint he was immediately overtaken by Bagnaia, but he also had a better time to catch Bagnaia again after a few laps. But unfortunately Pedro Acosta could not maintain his first position while leading the Sprint today so he crashed with four laps left to go. It was really very painful for a rookie Pedro Acosta and Marquez also almost got second position in today's Sprint, but Bastianini did not give that opportunity to Marquez because Bastianini also wanted to be in second position. Now Bagnaia and Martin's points have been cut again because Martin could only finish in the top four in today's Sprint.

Crashes seems to be a common thing for Acosta, I cant really remember how many times he crashed this season but I think he crashes more than the other riders.
More unfortunately, most of his crashes were self accident which means there is something wrong with himself or with his bike.
He is a great young potential rider and as a rookie, he should take this season as a learning season where he can get more experiences to improve his skills for the upcoming season.
The best moment in today's Sprint Race is exactly the duel between Enea vs Marquez but unfortunately it was happened in few corners only in the 11th lap.
It would be much more interesting if there were more laps to go hopefully tomorrow will be much interesting race to watch.

Ah thanks for pointing that out...  Mmm ok, so we already saw how their car performs in a street circuit.  I wanna see it perform in a proper F1 track and I guess the next race will def show just that at Circuit of The Americas in Texas.

But if Norris is still fast in his McLaren then we'll def have some interesting races coming up til the end of the season.    It's gonna be the start of Red Bull's down fall imho, thanks to Jos Verstappen for disturbing the peace within the team.  I hope Horner leaves too.

My pleasure. I hope McLaren keeps up the good work by the next race also. I don't want them to gift the constructor championship to Red Bull.    In fact, I'm okay with McLaren and Ferrari both about winning the title.

IF williams still in this path for this lasts race of the season i can see them overpassing HAAS and RB teams at the end of the season, and that it can be a super blow for the other teams and a super bump in energy and money for the Williams team.

I hope to see them with a much better car for the next season.

Yeah, if Williams can maintain their current performance it will not be impossible for them to overtake HAAS or RB in terms of points, especially since quite a lot of people are paying special attention to Colapinto who can get more points than what Logan achieved in several races, he can be a good capital for Williams to be able to score more points in the next race. Now we just need to wait and see how Liam performs, if he has a good performance, maybe Williams will have a little difficulty in overtaking their points.

Congratulations to Pecco Bagnaia who has won the full race at the Motegi circuit in Japan today and that has completed a very satisfying weekend for Bagnaia because he was able to win in the Sprint yesterday and also won in the full race today. And a rather unfortunate fate also happened to Pedro Acosta because he fell at the last corner while in second place after starting the race for several laps, although he had time to rejoin, but also to no avail. While Marquez also managed to get third place because Bastianini was no longer able to catch up when the sun began to shine on the circuit when the race still had several laps left.

Martin and Marc did their best today because both started the race from 11th and 9th but they could finish on 2nd and 3rd.
Martin tried really hard to cut the gap to Pecco and he almost did it in the last few laps but Pecco was fighting back which make Martin think realistic that it wont be possible to catch Pecco with just few laps remaining.
Perhaps the race will be much more interesting if the rain really come
4 Races remaining, the competition to be champion will be between Pecco and Martin only because I think there is no longer opportunity for Enea and Marc.

A young rider who still needs more learning with the bike and the characteristics of the machine he uses should be considered normal when he crashes more than other riders this season. But if you are looking to find out who the riders who crashed the most in 2024 or this season, you might be a little surprised because Marquez still leads the standings for the most crashes this season followed by Pedro Acosta in second place in terms of the most crashes this season. And next season Pedro Acosta will be on the KTM factory team so he is expected to make a little difference with his achievements in a full season. It is said they claim to be thinking of the environment in terms of carbon footprint and so on. Just come on! Do you really believe you can contribute to it that much by such a move? It is just a show, nothing more.

I hope we don't see this nonsense in 2025 season. Even drivers and teams must be questioning why they are doing this. I mean they of course get an opportunity to take a vacation in the meantime but this just decreases the time gap between the end of this season and the beginning of next one.

He has won again in front of Jorge Marting.
This is his 8th win for this season. Good result for Mac Marquesz too in the podium.

The leaderboard now is even shorter with -10 from Martin.

For example, this is why Miami is in May, because later there would be a risk of entering hurricane season. And the reason for this almost one-month break is precisely the fixed dates and the movements between the 2023 and 2024 calendars and the short time for adjustments.

In this part of the year, there were the Japanese GP and the Qatar GP, and both were moved to 2024. Now, the Qatar GP has been moved to a triple final between Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi. But the ‘culprit’ was someone else, the Japanese GP, which was to take place right after Singapore, and was brought forward to the spring of 2024, placing it closer to China. So the reason there is a four-week break without races is that the move of the Japanese GP was agreed too late for the organisers of other GPs to also agree to move their stages.

Specifically, the problem was that at that time there was no room for movement, because the Singapore GP was already scheduled for the weekend of 20-22 September, because as the Marina Bay circuit is an urban circuit, the city is closed, which requires some planning. Formula 1's plan B was then to move the United States GP, but as a triple-header on the American continent with Mexico and Brazil (with no break in between) was planned, it was not possible to move forward.

The statement you said does not seem crazy at all and even looks more reasonable in my opinion. Because when a rookie is able to finish on the podium like in Mandalika and is able to be in the front row when racing in Japan, that is actually very extraordinary because he is competing with riders who have been world champions before in MotoGP and also with riders who are already full of experience in MotoGP so far. So your assumption about the future champion for Pedro Acosta is not excessive because he still has a lot of time to learn and increase his experience in MotoGP and for the Rookie of the Year champion I think he will get it this year.

I feel like there isn't really anything to worry about for the breaks, because if they need it to give us better entertainment then I am all for it. Plus it gives teams a chance to do upgrades, and that means things could change. Imagine if we come back and red bull has this insanely good upgrade and they are good enough hto battle McLaren again, things would change suddenly and we would have a lot of fun.

Or maybe Mclaren would be even more dominant, or maybe none of them will make big changes but some team unexpected like Williams suddenly do podiums and such. Not saying that will happen, just saying this break increases the possibility of something like that and I am happy about it.

This should not be all that bad, and we could consider this as a good thing. If nothing else, racing every week is hard on the body, and racing 20+ times a year isn't easy already, giving break just so their body would recover is great, remember these racers lose few kilos each race, so it's definitely not easy on the body neither.

Anyway, the books still have Verstappen as the favorite to win the driver's championship at 1.57 with Norris somewhat close behind at 2.35.  I think this thing flips in just a couple of races if Norris wins a couple with Verstappen finishing outside the podium spots.  The question is if it's possible.

Norris' chance is really not big now. Even if he wins the rest of the races including the sprint ones also, Verstappen can still win the championship by finishing in the 2nd position. But this can just be considered as an extreme example. Who knows, maybe Norris will have a great run while Verstappen is getting bad results.

Zak Brown released and interview saying that the controversial rear wing isn't the secret for the Mclaran.

He also said that when they started winning everyine they were looking at them for finding the secrets.
He also said that they passed the test (but imho they used a clever way to "exploit" them)

So the question now is, what is the secret they have under the car?

Is this the interview you're referring to[1]? I believe you can read this as a confirmation that they modified their rear wing and mini-DRS as one of their tricks to improve their car. I can see his point that if he can exploit existing rules then it's fair game and it's on the governing bodies to stop this loophole or whatever they use to modify the car. I find executives who cared about fairness rare, so it's no surprise that he said he's done nothing wrong.

Norris could have won the drivers' championship if McLaren had given him priority, but unfortunately McLaren cared more about the constructors' championship and let Norris and Piastri compete on equal terms, even when Norris could have had a chance to score more points. I understand what McLaren meant by letting both drivers compete on equal terms, but it probably won't produce a good result in the drivers' championship, and the result we might still see Max win the title, even when McLaren has a chance.

Sure but if the the ban on that thing in McLaren's car didn't really make them lose pace on the track as everybody says then it's prolly safe to assume that Norris will keep getting podiums and pole at quali on the next rounds of races til November..?

I mean imho, I'd say let's see what happens to the McLaren cars in a proper track but since everybody says the ban didn't really affect their car much then I go with that for now but let's see.
