Alonso continues his descent into frustration and madness because of the underperforming car. The team and the driver are really upset at each other. The driver because he is always complaining (with a valid reason) and the team because he is too outspoken about the car being trash.

It's unfortunate and I hope next year he can get a better car and fight for the tournament.

No idea what you're talking about, by now Alonso has accepted the fact that they have a underpowered engine.  What frustrates him more now is the lack of engine stability.  But it's been looking 'ok' so far after two practice sessions.  No blow ups and one McClaren car finished within the top 10 in FP1 and FP2.  

I think they're now using the spec 3 engine upgrade Honda was talking about.

Something recently, McLaren has fallen very much in the ratings. Although visually it is invisible, but nevertheless I see that I am folded at every stage of the race. To date, no car shows decent results.

Ferrari's chief engineer left the team under the orders of Maurizio Arrivabene. Have anyone heard any rumors there on what occured in the team? I cannot think of a reason why they would do that now that Ferrari is having a good season.

Lewis Hamilton will start 8th (penalized with five positions), so Vettel can earn so many points on his opponent. For Vettel it is a great opportunity.

By underperforming I also meant unreliable. Alonso wants a car that can win, and a car that will not break. He is getting really pissed. Sure you can think he has accepted it, but he keeps complaining.

The problem with Mercedes is, they don't want to give Lewis competition, so it depends on if Lewis stays or not because he said he may be retiring soon, so that is an opportunity for Alonso to become a Mercedes pilot.

The problem with Mercedes is, they don't want to give Lewis competition, so it depends on if Lewis stays or not because he said he may be retiring soon, so that is an opportunity for Alonso to become a Mercedes pilot.

I think Mercedes would rather have Vettel than Alonso.  They have expressed that their door is not closed on a Vettel switch to their team.  Alonso is more likely to either return to Ferrari or Renault.  There are also rumors of a switch to Red Bull.

Good win for Bottas, but Vettel may be happy to have earned points on Hamilton on an unfavorable track

I am not surprised from this victory from Bottas, I guess this track is his favorite since he has fought for a win even when he was at the Williams so now with a Mercedes at hand he showed a great race today. Last race was also a brilliant performance from Bottas, from last place to 2nd. I am confident he can win the title this year if he stay this focused during all championship long. In fact I would love to bet on him to win the championship as the odd is big, but I will wait the next race before the decision.

Vettel needed one more lap to get a chance to pass the leader judging by that .658 second gap, didn't watch the race.

Anyway, on we go to the British GP next weekend!  Now this is a race Hamilton surely wants to win, and Vettel will try not to let him.

Few last laps of the race was hot. We saw close foght for 1st and 3rd positions, but Vettel and Hamilton didn't managed to overtake their opponents. Vettel increased his lead to 20 pts against Hamilton, but I think that Hamilton still have reserves.
Verstappen is very unlucky man, he didn't reached finnish in 5 out of last 7 GP's.

It will not be that easy for Hamilton , his team mate is his greatest rival. I am ruling out the Ferraris in this race considering what happened to them in last year race where they were being overtaken easily from the Mercedes in the big straight with the DNS open. I will place a bet on Valteri Bottas to win the race.
