Amazing pole position for Vettel with the new track record! he can win and earn so many points on Hamilton 2 Red Bulls look very strong on this track. Raikkonen may slow Hamilton, while Bottas is the worst among the top 6 drivers.

Lol_Ferrari. I think they hate Verstappen so much that they were willing to risk crashing out of the race by being really aggressive vs him. It's like both Vettel and Raikonen wanted to squeeze him out.
Hamilton is now up by 28 points or so...

But Verstappen moved into side of Raikkonen to block him and Kimi didn't had enough place. But I can't understand why Vettel risked so much to squeeze Max. And despite great start, Alonso appeared on first corner at very wrong time... I think it was crucial race in fight for championship. Ferrari had to win easily today. There are no more tracks left, where Ferrari will have big advantage. Now Vettel in very complicated situation.

Can believe what happen on this race, to be honest before the race i was hopping to find that i can place bet on safety car.
Looking again and again on replay start from all possible angles that i found i most person i fell sorry are Vettel and Alonso. Alonso with McLaren for the first time since they have Honda made awesome start shame was this incident with Max and Kimi. Cannot blame both of them but Seb and Alonso got the biggest impact one was first other was kicked in crash. Anyway good race for Lewis he didnt have any competition here but this is very bad setback for Ferrari drivers. Didnt find out anything for this crash incident and believe that they will be some severe punishment for next race by race officials.

According to FIA press release, they will not take actions against drivers: https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/131884/fia-takes-no-action-over-start-crashI also watched that moment many times and it's very hard to say who is most responsible for this accident. Track was wet and drivers had to be more careful

What a race. Awesome start for Kimi cost him this race. Verstappen could little slow down. Nobody was behind him, so there was no fear of crash. Vettel went too left to Verstappen. Kimi had maybe 20-30 cm on his lift side too. So everybody of these three drivers could do something to avoid this crash. But nobody did anything. It was easy race for Lewis. And Alonso? This man is out of luck. I feel sorry for him.

I reckon none of the 3 were to blame for the crashes. Sebastian had his nose in ahead of Max so Max should give way. But the problem was Kimi, he was also at the other side trying to overtake Max. So Max had no choice but to keep it straight and his wheel hit Kimi's wheel then they crashed.
This is another fortuitous event for Lewis with 6 races left.

Vettel would surely be back in first place in the world championship and now has a 28 point gap! The championship seems to be compromised now.

What I was expecting became true: Fernando Alonso is the best pilot with rain and would need a crazy start in order to get a podium this year, but unfortunately the accident with Vettel happened. If Vettel didn't push Alonso out of the track, it would have been almost a guaranteed top3 result for Alonso, but his bad luck continues. He was so pissed that reportedly he made a hole on the hotel wall with a punch.

@pereira4. That is what the news writers say about Fernando's sure chances to be in the podium but did he really have that chance? I reckon the Honda engines are still very much underpowered compared to that of their rivals.

Standings Drivers after 14 of 20 races:
1.Hamilton 263 gap 2.Vettel 235 -28 3.Bottas 212 -51 4.Ricciardo 162 -101 5.Raikkonen 138 -125 6.Verstappen 68 -195 6.Perez 68 -195 8.Ocon 56 -207 9.Sainz 48 -215 10.Hulkenberg 34 -229
Standings Teams after 14 of 20 races:
1.Mercedes 475 gap 2.Ferrari 373 -102 3.Red Bull 230 4.Force India 124 5.Williams 59 6.Toro Rosso 52 7.Renault 42 8.Haas 37 9.McLaren 17 10.Sauber 5
Hamilton with 28 points ahead of Vettel now has the championship in his hands. Vettel must win at least 4 of the 6 races left if he wants to try to win the championship.
The "teams" championship is definitely closed (Mercedes has 102 points ahead of Ferrari).

Vettel needs to do something special to win that championship. Is it still mathematically possible for Vettel to gain the points and chase Hamilton? I think Hamilton needs to be out of the podium places for three or so races and Vettel gets first place in those three or so races to get back the points he lost.
That something that's sadly not gonna happen.

Incredible, Valentino Rossi (38 years old) will go to Aragon after only 20 days from the bad accident. He made a few rounds on Misano's track and then decided to go to Aragon. If he is going to run at Aragon it's almost a miracle (the doctors had estimated at least 40 days for rehabilitation). Congratulations to Valentino Rossi for his courage and his desire to run as soon as possible.

Valentino Rossi has passed the physical texts today and has officially been eligible to participate in the Aragon race. He actually has difficulty just walking and tomorrow in free practice we will see if he is competitive and he will be able to play a decent race. He said he no longer thinks about winning the World Championship and only wants to try to end the race and possibly take a few points
