Tomorrow I will show how to mine a Bitcoin block using Elastic  Wink People were asking for a real use case, so I thought this might be real enough.
A task for a long night, but I hope when I turn on the coffee machine tomorrow morning (or afternoon) I will be done with an example that everyone can run locally.
nice,Support all algo?

Any news about exchanges? I can't find proper info about this coin distribution.

No exchanges yet, have to wait till Mainnet, then maybe you can by OTC from early donaters at a hefty price.
I would rather wait and buy on exchange as I know no matter how good a project is there is always a dump period Smiley
Yes,there will always be those who sell at low prices.
not at over 1 year old icos...
look for example at augur, they started 1 year after ico at around 25-50x and are now more than >100x
I think xel will start at around 100x or 1 dollar per XEL

Each xel was under a cent, we should see a few cents at some point in the beginning
you didnt understand. we will start at mininum 1 dollar and go maybe up to 5 dollar... nobody cares about this ico prices anymore.
this thing is worth more than golem (200 million right now). this is a good starting point to calculate xel price

Already done  Wink

Amazing as always! very exciting to see this great project evolve and progress!

This site already exists and is very similar to the majority of logos being created . https://www.elastic.co/

i mean similar as in layout, a logo with the words elastic directly under it , not the logo itself

Not sure on legality or laws or anything but would this pose a potential problem in the future? with it being similarly laid out with the logo but name being the same

The site says "Copyright 2017", so this XEL is older. Additionally, it would be really hard to point a finger at someone. Even if they tried a cease and desist letter – who are they supposed to send it to? The worst they could do would be going after the guys holding the website, at which point someone will move it to a place outside their jurisdiction (if it isn't already) and once SHIFT or any other decentralized management system gets IPFS based webhosting done, there is absolutely nothing they can do anymore. Fun times ahead of us.

(...)

And ... I can't find the 3-body thing ... I loved that one!

Why, thanks Smiley

I think people didn't take it seriously, because it was very "out there". I was actually quite serious, but to be honest, I'm a little relieved that it's not in the competition, because should it have won, I would have had no idea how to make it actually work Smiley

On that regard, I thought about this three-body problem from a different angle: Wouldn't it be good to have some kind of simple calculation running steadily (doesn't have to be 3-body)? I don't know why exactly, but I have the feeling this could be used for testing(Miners maybe could use it as a "standart test"?), as a heartbeat and so on…

…and, just to add this, I feel like I have to defend my design on a visual level, because I feel like people thought of it as still being in a sketch phase: I know, the 3-body design looks… different, very downplayed, not in your face and very not "designy". Choosing a monospace font for the text adds to that. However, I am quite serious and took this thing seriously. I'm a little done with the slick and overpolished instagram aesthetic, which dominates Logo design at the moment. Especially with a project like this, I felt it was time to choose something different. The bare aesthetic of IDEs, monospace fonts, text as the main design element, as little lines, boxes and icons as possible, plain text, pure information as the ideal, that was what I was going for.

If XEL is used to mine BTC, we will not see under $100 even with any kind of dumping  Grin

just curious on the efficiency of use XEL to mine BTC, since all ASIC already have high efficiency.

but maybe use XEL to build an Alpha Go.

anyway, "let me say it with XEL's words: Galaxy is the limit ".  Wink

just sent another 0.5BTC to support our amazing developer (yes, brought some BTC since 2012.. and the bubble is growing.)

also the real crypto spirit is still in XEL community.

only can see this in early time of BTC and NXT.

I am surprised about how many people already voted!

Nice to see so many are still active and helping out.

I have no clear favorite with the logos, so I took something I like more as the others.

Already done  Wink

wow, didn't realize this!

So, in theory, we could mine as a big decentralized pool? Would it be possible for some experienced coder of mining software to port the source code into our language and build a huge mining pool with our service? If this would be at least profitable it could be a good first use case and many people could just install our software and buy XEL to get the mining started.

Whatever the expected listing price was before, you've just got a 10x-100x value increase right there.   Cool

I am thinking of the following equation. If XEL got enough computing power, to be able to mine btcs. Getting it to be more efficient than the current miners, reducing costs. We could be facing a new paradigm, in the mining of btc. Or I'm just daydreaming.
