As in the style of the first batch, am i able to place the order, get one of the first 600 units on hold until i can gather all the bitcoins together which may take a few days to buy? It seemed like people were sending payments (bank wires) for the first batch months after the original date and still having the order honored. I'm hoping this will be the case for batch #2 as i would very much like to buy one but don't currently have 80+ bitcoins in my wallet. Or is this more of a mad scramble for cash(coins) where first 600 full transactions that hit your wallet are the new prospective owners of the next 600 asic units?

FTFY Obviously that too, but i really do want to order, and really don't have 80 spare bitcoins within the next day and a half.

As I understand the first batch of 300 has been preordered but not shipped except for 2 units. (why haven't all shipped?)
Also if the asics are ready why can't proof be posted?
100+ has been shipped already, 40 some on one route and 60 some on another.

It is completely reasonable. Bitcoin Only - It is easier to accept BTC, and they need to move money fast to pay suppliers Oh, of course. And these suppliers take Bitcoin, eh? Think about that for a minute.

Think about that for a minute. I've never actually withdrawn from Gox, but it doesn't seem like selling on Gox and withdrawing funds would land in their bank account faster than an international wire. Maybe I'm wrong on that. It is completely reasonable. Bitcoin Only - It is easier to accept BTC, and they need to move money fast to pay suppliers No Refunds - This protects Avalon against people freerolling them as a hedge against BFL. If Avalon allowed refunds, and BFL shipped both on-time and within-spec, then nearly every rational buyer would ask for a refund, due to the 65nm vs 110nm efficiency gap. No Proof - They are just being honest here. No amount of pictures / video will satisfy the doubters (but seriously Avalon, how about a video of a unit hashing...) and they are trying hard to expedite the delivery of the first unit to Jeff. Oh, of course. And these suppliers take Bitcoin, eh? Think about that for a minute. I thought about this some more and it does sound odd. Perhaps selling BTC in china is faster than receiving international wires? Regardless of speed, Bitcoin is certainly easier to set up automated orders for.

I love it.
Can build and design an ASIC, but can't run a camera phone to take pictures.
Can modify CGMiner to make their machine work, but can't provide logs, or proof that it successfully hashes.
Asks for $900,000 up front delivery April 5th, 2013, but has the time to insult all of his potential customers.
Seriously?? He must think we are all morons.

it's going to be a couple of exiting days.
Quite. I meant ex citing, but yeah that might work too, if you think somebody's running away. Hopefully it's ASICs going out the exits of customs and shipping facilities.

Just the production of the wafers for the chips takes almost 2 months (assuming 5 metal maskset). After this You need to back-grind the wafers, saw it, package it and assemble the units. How can You do this until March 6th?

The following is the no bullshit, no fine print terms of sales for Avalon batch #2. - Bitcoin Only - Batch #2 of Avalon will only accept bitcoins. Only Bitcoin will allow us to move half a million USD in a few hours into places they are suppose to go to. This will also allow us to automate the order system. I am aware some EU and SA country will have importing issues due to customs, but I see a possibility for re-sellers to grow and take care of this problem.
- No Refunds - Avalon has always been a BTO - Build to Order unit, we order materials and parts based on the size of each batch, this allows proper financial management, eliminate back-orders and improve overall efficiency and workflow on how we work. How else did you expect us to produce a functional ASIC unit in the same length of time a competitor has been delayed?
- No Proof - Jeff and/or Bitcoin Foundation will get their unit and release reviews. Let me remind everyone what I've said month(s) ago, we can not stop people from tinkering and releasing information regarding our product, but we seldom will release any information. We will instead focusing more on killer features, some of which is already hidden in our unit. In this highly cutthroat competitive field, we do what we can to survive.
I applaud every potential customer to think over this carefully, and make the decision seem right to you, and only you. Although I must say: life isn't about "making sure" but rather "enduring the uncertainty". Worst. Business. Plan. Ever. Please tell me there are people with enough common sense here not to believe this
