There's not much information and some of it isn't clear:

Quote
As per usual the price of the unit is determined by the following equation.
mining_difficulty * ( 1 + number_of_month_in_lead_time) over a 30 day period on the unit's hashing

What does it mean exactly? I believed that the price was set so that it was expected to be earned back in one month and don't see how this equation matches.

For people who have been contacted by Avalon, did they ask which model you wanted or was it a 3 unit without PSU (without any choice)?

P2pool tuning guide
Trade BTC for €/$ at bitcoin.de (referral), it's cheaper and faster (acts as escrow and lets the buyers do bank transfers).

Did not ask. It is going to be a 3 module unit with PSU.

My order was confirmed in Friday night. Paid 17.4 BTC

Does it say "trade-in on hold" or not? (in the order details page)

Yes it says trade-in on hold for the moment

Well, for me it's obvious, that they'll ship a 4-modular asic..
I don't even understand, how you can be thinking about something else...

It doesn't make sense, to send 3 modular units, even for avalon.

The price point is pretty easy.

1200$(3 modular unit)+1 module 400$+ no psu+delivery... And minus your trade in= 1600$

Tadam)) Wink

Yeah, good math, one gold rated PSU is more expensive than one module. So I also vote for no PSU and 4 modules.
Cmon I wanna be surprised again with no tracking number and another avalon by my door Cheesy

The new design looks really nice.

Will come this or next week.

I also didn't receive any confirmation email about the Icarus board I sent for trade-in.
Mr. Chen received the package on 26.4. according to the DHL tracking.

Still don't see any trade-in order in the online store...
Today I've created ticket No. 1350 about this...

So all together I've heard nothing from AVALON team about my trade-in.

Don't worry, you're not alone. No doubt it says that for all of us who actually got the e-mail and paid them. I bet (and I've said this before) that they will have to manually validate and process the payments. So for the time being I guess all we can do is wait - something we should be all too familiar with.

If any Ferrari dealer is selling a brand new 458 Italia for $30,000, I'll pay cash for it!
