Seriously though, it doesn't look like anyone could invest in this without blindly trusting the "team" despite the parade of red flags... so I'd say there is no kicking, they still trust the "vision" and will follow it off the cliff (or to the next incarnation of the scheme).

Some people think this is a make a choice scenario, do I invest in BTC or ION. This is a big mistake as BTC & ION are very different propositions.

For instance my overall $$$ investment in crypto is split 80% BTC, 15% ION & 5% a mix of other coin. In BTC I save 50% and day trade the other half. My ION investment is long term with the objective at the moment being the accumulation of ION.

So if

BTC + ION are both successful = I win big and I mean BIG

BTC is a success & ION fails = I win big

BTC Fail & ION succeed = Can't see that happening but again I win big

BTC Fail & ION Fail = I lose big

If anyone is going to focus on just one coin it should only be BTC as any other coin at least for me would be too risky.

Cost basis since the ION ICO or cost basis from when you invested in that other totally unrelated coin? What's the percentage at current value?

I have 0% in ION and maybe 0.01% in Paycon. Some small amount of ETH to play around with contracts, can't be bothered to look up how much. No other shitcoins. I prefer gambling in places where I know the odds.

Why do you keep quoting an article by Daniel Krawisz he wrote this 3 years ago, I bet if he wrote another article today it would be different. Some good points but ultimately a flawed perspective from 3 years ago.

Bitcoin has a market cap of $12 Billion, take one step back and you'll see a grain of sand has now become a hand full. If you really believe in bitcoin focus your efforts on increasing that market cap instead of shooting everyone else in the foot by trying to stifle the growth of altcoins because you can't.

FACT As long as bitcoin exists so will other altcoins it's a fucking dynamic of a free market. We've passed the stage of altcoins just being clones. Successful ALTs will add value to BTC not detract from it

As you pasted another alpha would have meant not all Ionomy user's would have got the opportunity to alpha test the game which is unfair as who do you pick ?

So the decision was made based on the state of the game to take that extra step and move to open beta.
