May be you are right. But few more years bitcoin will be popular and may be being a part of international currency that recognize by most of country in the world. Bitcoin advertising was held in some country now, include my country. Of not this years it gonna be a few more years.

You can literally create a thread entitled "2999, Year of the Bitcoin" and people would still come up with a response to that thread. Anyways, it's quite hard to do speculation nowadays because the chance of a huge bitcoin-related company getting hacked is quite high right now. If you guys witnessed what the Bitfinex hack did to the Bitcoin price, you'll know what I'm saying.

Don't think when the project of Kim Dot Com will get released that it has any impact on the price. In order to get the price to go up, something must be done to get money coming into Bitcoin. As long as that isn't the case, then not much will happen.

And you know speculation is just a speculation. Those you are talking about are intentional ones and it's really unpredictable. So just monitor the bitcoin price on a regular basis so that we knows what to do in our bitcoin when there is a sudden rally.

I think we can consider every year is year of the bitcoins because there is no the real time give from developer of bitcoins..
Since bitcoins is currency like other currency we can consider it every year is year of the bitcoins..
But we can also consider every time halving happens as year of the bitcoins.

2017 will not have a halving like 2016 had, so I doubt it can be even more speculator then 2016. The only reason for the price to increase would be problems for Oil and FOREX.

There are a lot of factors that we should consider before speculating about bitcoin in 2017.
The main factor is news. When will segwit be released, how many new companies will start accepting bitcoin etc. etc.

It's gonna be so exciting cause , there is a lot more to come. Getting collaboration of Blockchain technology with VISA and legalising BTC in Russia to make trades within the Border is really a good sign that there will be a lot more to come 2017 as for Bitcoin history.
