i think yes it is possible to manipulate the price of bitcoin but it is not such an easy job you can do that only if you have a lot a lot and a lot of money, as bitcoin is a universal currency and therefore it is not so easy to manipulate the price of bitcoin.
Yes, in order to manipulate the bitcoin prices, we must need billions of dollars or billions worth of bitcoins. So, manipulating bitcoin prices by an individual is mostly impossible, only group of people may do that. We have seen bitcoin pumps from Chinese people sometimes, but we cannot ignore them like more number of new people are investing into bitcoin. |

I doubt a single person can influence bitcoin, besides the whales and the nakamoto holdings. Besides that it will cost milions to make a pump into bitcoin without reason, and the market might follow and support it but in the short time the dumpers will end the party.

of course one person alone is not enough you need a team to be able to manipulate a large market. bitcoin has millions of users and volume of more than $ 100k per day. I'm not sure you can manipulate the price of bitcoin if you're just alone, even though you have a lot of capital? |

Yes we all know that bitcoin is pure decentralization but your statement that no people can manipulate bitcoin is maybe wrong in my point of view.Any people can manipulate the price as long as they power to do it. what does mean if they have huge capacity of investment and group of whales. Im sure bitcoin can easily manipulate. for example if i have billions of dollars to invest in bitcoin don't you think that i cannot control the price what ever I want? |

you are a fool to think bitcoin price is not manipulated and you are a bigger fool if you think this manipulation is as big as a couple of years ago.
in my experience price of anything can be manipulated but it is much harder when the market size of that thing grows bigger and bigger. for example you can easily manipulate price of an altcoin with a small market cap but when this market cap grows and more importantly when there is a fair distribution, it becomes harder and harder to manipulate the price.
