Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price?

Well, I don't think that we, little people, have the power to manipulate something.
Probably, big players - joining their forces - can have an effect on the price.

Even people like us who don't hold a huge sum of bitcoin like the whales, we can still manipulate the bitcoin's price even by just a little, it still matters tho. But the biggest factor that can manipulate the bitcoin's price are the whales who are just waiting around the corner to sell their bitcoin at the right moment so that they can gain as muh as possible and then they will later on buy again bitcoin. This is a circle of events that we could consider manipulation of price.

We can make a group but if we do not have the a big volume of coins we will not be able to do which is manipulating the market.

Manipulation of bitcoin price is the way of big investors of bitcoin. All bitcoiners couldn't manipulate bitcoin price coz they aren't the big fishes that can manipulate. Communities can be the holders or can be the investors. Manipulation is a kind of holding and selling of bitcoin volume. Bitcoin price can be manipulated by the big fishes who hold big amount numbers of btc.

Earlier it was possible, because until the beginning of 2014, just two exchanges (MtGox and BTC-e) were handling most of the Bitcoin trade. But now a lot of new exchanges have sprout up, and none of them enjoys a monopoly. So it is quite difficult to manipulate the markets, as you need to do the pumping/dumping in dozens of exchanges simultaneously.

To manipulate the market buying and selling is very difficult, but it's possible, if whales move in an organized way.

But it's completely useless, because the real manipulation is made by rumors and declarations:
if a politician, a big bank, a Nobel Prize, a celebrity , makes a declaration in a positive or negative way, this declaration will push the market much more that any currency movement.

So, is someone believed that the crossed fire on bitcoin in January was just a coincidence...  well, welcome to the real world.

Big whales can manipulate bitcoin price and the whole market, as what I have experienced and noticed that these people can create a panic whenever they will throw FUD news about bitcoin they sure that newbies and others who are weak hands will sell their bitcoin if bad news will come out they will keep throwing bad news until it will button and time for them to buy a lot of bitcoin. Whales has a big role in the market and the only way for us not to miss the train is to keep up and think like a whale.

Yes,  for those who are millionaires and can afford to buy a huge amount of bitcoin and able to reach those millionaires, they can manipulate it, a certain group of people with a numerous btc holders can manipulate the bitcoin price.

I don't think, bitcoin could manipulated by an ordinary people, In able to manipulate btc requires a very huge amount, The question is that? Who  can manipulate bitcoin if you don't have much capital to invest. Big Whales are the one who can push bitcoin to go up, because the fluctuation matters on the demand and supply, If the supply is limited then the demand value will also rise up.

That is very impossible that Member of bitcointalk that are traders can manipulate the Bitcoin price because not all of the people here are have a same level of thinking, There's a people that want to earn more profit so they didn't follow the rules of manipulating Bitcoin price in this forum and they would sell their Bitcoins to not be late on dumping stage and Second are the not all of the traders here can hold the bitcoin for long they have another things to do and money to spend on their daily lives so they need to withdraw it everytime.

No, we cannot control the price of Bitcoin. We here in Bitcoin talk forum have no power of the Bitcoin's price in the market. Only those, I think, people who are behind the development of Bitcoin. So, we must play hard and play according to the rules.

As the price of bitcoin getting higher, it will be difficult for us here to form a group that will manipulate the price of bitcoin. It takes big amount of money to buy those supply and only those millionaires or billionaires known as whales can do that. Also, some of us here has other agenda and don't care to support that plan as not mandatory to follow.

I think it's not possible to have a group in here that will manipulate the bitcoin price. It takes a higher trust level that those people will follow what the decision of the group. Although I partly agree that those big whales can do that manipulation as they have all the resources to that.

Nope we can't manipulate the bitcoin price since it is already program and it is being monitored from the movement of suppy as to corresponds its price. The qualified to manipulate the bitcoin market at this time are persons who have large amounts of fiat and those who have immense quantities of bitcoins because they have a lot of cash and bitcoin also, so somebody manipulates bitcoin price. There are still sufficiently of whales out there that can manage the value in the way that suits them.

Yeah. It can be manipulate by the owner of some applications. But my opinion really is why can bitcoin manipulate by someone. Its a digital currency by a system who made by satoshi. It is a program that its automatic will fall or rise the amount. But i observed is the other applications that can convert into peso is not the same with real bitcoins.

Control the cost of btc is the entire reason bitcoin has a cost. It isn't supported by anything , "control" generally recommend if something worths X and you purchase/offer it for something other then X , higher or lower.

In my opinion, it's a big NO!, Any ordinary bit coin user can't manipulate bitcoin price but i think only the founder of this or the one who created the system can manipulate bitcoin price.
