yeah I have registered with NLexch.com
but have to be carefull, they look new
there is no liquidity
and who knows about security
so no stored coins and exchange in smaller ammount

but AUR market looks cool, lots of AUR pairs are there

I have been trading other coins on NLExch since ~2 yrs, I never had any problems with deposits or withdrawals and the support was always very responsive.
But we all know that can change quickly (Cryptsy, Cryptopia etc.).

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Looks like the last code that was checked in for this project was wallet update --- September 2018.  13 months ago. I don't see any material code  check-ins since then.

Is development stopped?

Hello Auroracoin Community,

I'm DavinciJ15 I´m developing Pandora´s Wallet and I am planning on adding Auroracoin to our wallet and test out the send and receive.

Can you please contribute a small amount to get the testing running.
Auroracoin Address: AXGYLXD812aznWznbsbziKWPw1Mrc5MyEn

Thanks for the help.

Hello Davincij15, Nice to see some independent developers working on Auroracoin projects.  I am a core team member and am running the Discord Server in which we are starting to build the international presence there.

https://discord.gg/TPW74X

Join the server and introduce yourself and I will add you as a member.    There has been some nice developments lately with Auroracoin, being added to 2 new exchanges, NLexch.com and Zapple.com.

We have a team that can take over this coin and help because we see that original team gave up!

What do you mean? do you want to replace the core team in Aurora now? do you already feel appropriate to replace it?

What 'core team' are you talking about? there in no team

The team is small, yet active in developing the core wallet, the Insight explorer, a merchant tool, and a new wallet is being worked on.

You are welcome to join the Discord channel which can start coordinating between the core team and interested parties world wide.

   Any idea who holds this wallet???   AURburnAURburnAURburnAURburn7eS4Rf   5,344,645 AUR ($287,544 USD)   30.78%   in 2015-04-22 20:51:11   out 2019-02-12 05:35:57

they are another 2 wallets with  about 1 million aur each inside!!

Yes, seems you have not been completely keeping up with the history of the coin.  You can tell this is a made up public key address, and therefore no private key exists for this burn address.

In regards to the large wallets, these numbers are estimated based on shared transactions, but perhaps could be accurate.

Anyone who has been mining and buying coins for the past 5 years have the right to buy&mine as many coins as they would like.

None of the 50% premine however is represented in these wallets.   All the airdrop funds were done honestly, although there were some people claiming for many family members (with their permission), but that is not really something that couldve been prevented, nor a significant amount.

You are welcome to join the Discord channel.  It is a bit new and I need to start building it up more, but it is a better place for involvement than this announcement board.

Wow great to hear from you guys. Please update the android wallet as it hardly works anymore. I like the the slogan Icelands blockchain. Please update us soon but also dont feel like you are the coins only hope. Auroracoin is in vietnam now. Even in the most remote villages on the chinese border. Ive travelled the world to deliver this coin to people. Our network is approaching 2% of total supply.

To be honest the Android wallet is a low priority.  Simply use the same keys and use Coinomi.  We are working on another wallet but for now Coinomi is the preferred wallet.

Thanks again for your help with the coin Smiley

None of the blockexplorer seems to be working.

http://insight.auroracoin.is gives me this warning.

Yes the existing website server that hosts the page has an older version of Wordpress and PHP on the server.  We believe this is why the message is occuring.

Unfortunately I do not have control over this server, and as frustrating as it is that this is not being taken care of quicker, it is not as bad as it looks.

We are working on an updated webset, wallet and Insight server, so I think the developers are wanting to take care off all these issues at once.

I am trying to get the WP and PHP upgraded though, and an SSL certificate, but have to rely on others right now to make those changes.

No,development has not stopped, there are other github repositories that have code being worked on.

We will move over the Insight explorer code (being worked on) and a couple other repositories (chrome extension wallet, WP plugin) fairly soon.

The main aurarad/auroracoin repository is being changed to better reflect changes done on main branch in repository.

We have always tried to release a new wallet update about once a year, so yes we are due for another release fairly soon.

Last year improvements were made to the core code and protocols, this year we are updating the bitcoin core code and incorporating wallet changes made within DigiByte, which we were forked from.   Some wallet changes also necessary for the Insight explorer upgrade, including ZeroMQ messaging support.

Thanks for your interest,

Michael Hannes

Auroracoin is a founding member of the EWMCI Leadership Alliance.   A coalition of coin projects, exchanges, and data providers to assist each others projects.

https://ewmci.info/ewmci-leadership-alliance

Approximately each month EWMCI will come out with an article featuring one of the coins.  The inaugural article has come out with Auroracoin and myself in the spotlight.

Take a look over at the EWMCI site... https://ewmci.info/ewmci-news-service

Super interesting projects taking place in the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania through May, 2020

An artsy project demonstrating and providing information on blockchain and mining in Iceland.

They have an Auroracoin SHA256 miner on display (in a sound proof box) solo-mining Auroracoin.

We might not be that visible, we are still here. Many things have been done by the team to enable a path forward for Auroracoin. Not an easy task in this market and not one we take lightly. We will update on our progress here soon.

Until then, please don't confuse silence with absence. If you think you can contribute in a positive way to this project, please contact us directly at team@auroracoin.com

Yes it is a very real and quite famous life-sized sculpture in the Reykjavik Harbor.

This photo was just slightly modified to include the fiat and crypto markings.

Ah, ok, I stand corrected. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sun_Voyager

I saw the markings and thought it must not be real.

Thank you!
