Hi Bitmain,
XVG just got hacked again. It is a 600million mkt cap coin, This is the 2nd hack. It is probably due to someone gaining 51% hashrate again. Perhaps can approach XVG to develop an ASIC with it. Win-win situation yes? A new product is created. Miners hopefully can make profit.... and XVG gets the security they need. Otherwise, there will be a 3rd hack lol
Does bitmain read these posts hmmm

EDIT: After further discussion with Phillipma, I've come to agreement with him; ASIC's and FPGA's are "NOT" the answer. Software, is the answer to bring ASIC, FPGA and GPU on an even plain field.
Meet PROG Proof of Work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6B-ZCyP6K8&tBITMAIN and it's ASIC"s are not the answer to decentralized mining. I've had my R9 380's mining since mid 2016 and STILL making a profit. My R9 380 rigs are making more profit after power costs than your Bitmain S9's. My R9 380's have ROI'ed 4 or 5 times over compared to your S9's. In the meantime, BITMAIN manipulates the speculation markets (exchanges) with the majority control of coins they mine annually. They're currently putting the squeeze on all S9 owners by continuing to dump on the market. They're doing the same with Litecoin and L3's. Bitcoin is going down to around $5,380 before you see any reprieve. Then it won't be long before the announcement of a new ASIC to begin the BITMAIN illusion once again. Most of you with more than 3 or 4 BITMAIN S9's are more than likely having to pay for your power costs as you mine. Not many have the capital to mine with more than 3 or 4 x S9's. They're mining to more or less break even now; while claiming they're doing a service to the network and keeping it secure. Believe me, BITMAIN has enough ASIC"s in their warehouses to keep the network secure from governments. How about keeping it secure from themselves? In the meantime, Bitmain sells another ASIC (the S9i) as if there's something different and/or better with it compared to previous S9's and the BITMAIN illusion continues to deceive those gullible enough to continue in their insanity once again. Those of you who paid top dollar for the S9 in December and January are beginning to wonder if my assessment is correct now, aren't you?

Wow, what a huge 'surprise'... This guy bought an s9i and didn't even notice the difference. S9 (normal) had 14 TH for 1400w, the new one has 14 TH for 1300w. Not a big spike but really not exactly the same.

No because most of what you say is misinformed and ignorant. Ill put any thousand of my S/T9s against your dumpy lil GPU rigs and we can compare profits.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Not a big spike but really not exactly the same. I actually installed a volt/amp/watt/kwh meter on the 30A outlet I use for my rack. At the wall my 14 TH S9 pulls 1487W and my 14TH S9i pulls 1429W. While my S9i is negligibly more efficient, it's within what I would expect to be the normal variability and a particular S9 could easily be more efficient than a particular S9i.

They're mining to more or less break even now Even now a good S9 is still mining .025 BTC/mo, on electricity near .005 per month. If you have antminer s9 being C$1400 and psu at C$85 that means ROI just in last 180 days.

Until it is know what the actual differences are, this seems like a very high risk action with almost no reward.

I have definitely considered it, and I suspect it may work. I'm not willing to take the risk yet. Maybe after ROI

Until it is know what the actual differences are, this seems like a very high risk action with almost no reward. Theres no difference between the firmwares, the voltage was just tuned down differently. The s9i will consistently get better power draw than the S9 but only by a little bit. Putting S9i firmware on the S9 will make it not boot.

Next Generation Mining Machine "GMO miner B2" https://gmominer.z.comThey been saying alot of things but so far just vaporware. I dont understand why they need to do a presentation to explain a miner. They just need to start selling them... It says in development.

Just Japanese custom, They're going to have a formal announcement to all investors and see where it goes. Anyone on this forum going?

Looks like more hash rate will be on the way soon... Canaan [Also known as AVALON] about to start an IPO; "not" ICO but "IPO" Those who recently purchased the S9 may be in trouble with network hash steadily increasing while the price is decreasing. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4311665.new#new

No, you'll put your T9's against everyone else on a network hash rate that has more than doubled since January 1, 2018 [See chart below]. ROFL... Good luck with that. I'm still mining with GPU's at a profit that I purchased in early 2016. They have ROI'ed more than 4 times over.

Didnt some forumers say 7nm is years away? Where is fuzzy the 7nm will drop late 2018 or early 2019 avalon will have one . pretty sure they did some takeouts etc. As for gpu vs asics I am all inclusive not exclusive . Major problem here is bitmain is losing it s9 edge. it was huge over everyone back in 2016. now that everyone caught up bitmain is trying to find an edge again.. They do not give a fuck what coin or coins they have an edge in as long as they have an edge. My opinion is bitmain will never have the edge it had with the s-9 back in June of 2016 pre ½ing they had a .11 watt miner and no one had a .25 watt miner except for bitmain's s-7. They made vast sums of money with that edge and they want to do this with a coin again. Maybe they can. They will try to do it with any coin there is as the edge is what they live for. To have that same edge now would means you could build a 0.04 watt miner doing 30th at 1200 watts and sell it at 2k-3k when it only costs you 700 to build. No one has that as far as I know.

Which means I made the correct call selling all my S7's in February, 2016 to begin purchasing hardware for GPU mining. I "knew" better than to invest my funds from S7 sells into the new S9 at the time. I saw much more potential for increased revenue with GPU mining instead of BITMAIN (ASIC) Mining. I also liked the concept of getting back to GPU mining to rid the community of one manufacturer who dominated the space; which resulted in centralized mining by big corporation(s). Phillip, told the truth in his comment just below my previous comment. Bitmain is looking for another coin to gain an "edge" once again. They're hoping the Equiphash algorithm will give them the edge they seek. Currently, it's not looking so well for them with BTG, EXPANSE, ZEN and Bitcoin Private all saying they will fork to remain ASIC resistant. If ZEC also ends up changing their algorithm, it's not looking good for Bitmain.
