hard to give up gambling same with the smoking or drug addicting is very hard to quit is not easy, i think the give up gambling desipline yourself forget gambling in your mind and the another activity or alternative ways to forget gambling like playing sports or shopping and prose yourself that you will not gamble.

Oh yes it is incredibly hard to stop gambling. You give example with smoking and drugs and they are correct, both smoking and drugs are addictions - same with gambling, so if you can't control yourself and you become addicted it will be really hard to get rid of it. It is the same for me and you are not alone. If you are the same as me than my method might work for you. I only gamble with a small amount everytime I play so that I dont lose alot of money even if I keep on playing. The reason for that is because this is the only way for our brain to work properly because of our addiction

Gambling is really not easy, I think most people believe so. Except for those who are rich and they just keep betting with their money because they don't worry about getting broke or going bankrupt, its really hard to gamble because first, there are some people who are really greedy and are impatient, they can't control their flow of money that's why they gamble to earn money but instead they are losing more than they won. Gambling is very addictive many people are very addicted they can't control their self from betting, every one of us has a reason why we gamble it maybe depts, for fun, or even if your just bored if you have the money you can bet but for me betting is really not worth it. Yes giving up gambling will be possible only we are deviating our focus in to some other interesting things. I have seen an addicted gambler got chances to recover from his gambling addictions by falling in love with his colleague. When he is not frequent to his gambling like before, slowly he recovered from gambling and quit it completely.

I think you need real treatment and not just trying to stay away from the casino. The fact that you understand that gambling is leading to only losses and not profits is a good thing because that will help you overcome the addiction. You must be willing and determined at the same time in order to stop this addiction. It is possible to stop it but the key is in your hands only - only you can stop yourself from gambling.

Hi guys and girls! After making quite a lot of money then losing it and crying about it half the afternoon I have decided to give up gambling for good.  Its not for me in have a much too addictive personality. So now I just plan to work for casinos but not gamble.

The thing is you know you should cash out but you always want just that little bit more and then u lose the whole lot. I'm stupid and greedy. Right after I lost i put more in and doubled it then I went all in and lost it. So yes u can make a killing gambling with such a small about like a few dollars but then u lose all u make and waste a lot of time and energy and end up getting upset. Also i shake like mad when I gamble and I hate that. I tremble. When I lose I can't believe what the screen is telling me.

So any thoughts ? Ways to stop ? Ways to gamble with play money ? Maybe there are dust gambling casinoes I can use? U know just for fun and for the fix.

I think the thing that works for me is that I set rules for myself that limits the amount of money I can spend each week for gambling. Once I spend my limit, I can't make any more bets the rest of the week.

No one has that much control over their emotions that they can immediately stop doing something that they are enjoying to do. Maybe you have such a strong mind but then you are an exception because most people are not like that. It is not that easy to give up since it was your common habit every time you want to relax your self sometimes you make it hour by hour, day by day then you end up so addicted on it even you have a lot of chances to quit that and trying to change your schedule or self, it will become so hard for you, a very difficult thing to do and it will end up "I can't".
