Perhaps the question only time can answer. Due to outdated or not influenced by the development of its own bitcoin. If bitcoin can continue to grow and progress I believe bitcoin crypto can still compete with the other, but if bitcoin does not develop and setbacks that would be the end of bitcoin.

bitcoin is open source, so changes can be implemented to make it more future proof. activating segwit is a first step towards making bitcoin future proof. lightning network is another major step forward. in that aspect, bitcoin will go through serious development very soon.

yes i am also agree with you that is not not so easy to replace bitcoin with any other currency, as bitcoin is really a stable currency and it is now becoming a universal currency of the world.

I think it's possible but will be very difficult to replace with bitcoin.Because bitcoin already in a stable position that can't break so easily. And thee facilities which is given by bitcoin those making bitcoin strong. people are stay with bitcoin for these facilities. So it will be a very difficult task for any coin to replace with bitcoin.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
there is no other cryptocurrency can replace bitcoin. Bitcoin is so strong that it will destroy any other cryptos if they try to compete with bitcoin. There are many other cryptocurrencies, but dont you see that they are all crap ?

To do so means that it begins to lose the trust of the people, starting not to be trusted and as result the fall of the price. For me only then will be replaced.

It cannot be replaced, because it's the first one and will be the one that will last as long as all the others will, if not more. But another currency can appear which has higher potential than Bitcoin, and if the userbase is being overtaken.. It might mean the end of Bitcoin.

Yes bitcoin can get replaced in future only if we find any new innovative currency that holds better features and benefits in compare to bitcoins and if that happens then I am sure people will switch to that currency.

for the moment I do not think that bitcoin will be replaced by another coin. honest, this time I also do not see the potential of another coin that could compete with bitcoin, so I thought, if it actually happens, it may take a very long time, because I think today bitcoin is considered as the mother of coins the new one

Other cryptocurrency still not good security as bitcoin.. they are still afraid to be as bitcoin since their security is not enough.. remember ethereum before that they said that its a high security but they are experience of hack because of dao issue..
So i think no can replaced bitcoin..  i will stay in bitcoin since its already use by many company..

i do not think that Bitcoin is ever going to replaced by another crypto currency because I know that Bitcoin is the number one so it would be unlikely to be taken over.
It would make much more sense for Bitcoin to take over something else.

That could happen if the surprise we had when we heard about bitcoin, But not any cryptocurrency which came in till today has that element of surprise. Some altcoins has advantages compared to bitcoin, which is not sufficient to ignore bitcoin. Litecoin was Created for this purpose to solve some latency in bitcoin and its network, But see where the litecoin stands now.

May be some coins might be in competition with bitcoin in future, but i don't see any possibility of making bitcoin as obsolete.

Technology and things are developing all the time, so it's not excluded that some new, better, more sophisticated cryptocurrency replaces the Bitcoin. At the moment  I think there are more then 600 of cryptocurrencies but they are emerging every day, so who knows what future brings.

As everyone agrees that bitcoin cannot replace US dollar because that has been used from centuries and people trust it so they wont let anything replace it until it disappears suddenly which is not going to happen, so everyone should also think that bitcoin has been around for more time than any other coin, so it is really unrealistic for a coin to replace bitcoin just like that unless bitcoin dies within a day and people don't have any choice but to move towards something else.

I think the key is not only at a high price because it is very possible that other coin will also have a higher price if they have more users, therefore users will provide the most important role for bitcoin if bitcoin want to continue to survive of all obstacles?

Probably Bitcoin won't be replaced by another crypto currency but there might be another one who can go on par with bitcoin. A little possibility that a new altcoin rise in the next few years and competes with bitcoin, if that happens we have two options to where to put our money and early buyers of it will benefit. There's also a ver little possibility that bitcoin will be dethroned.

No it's not possible because bitcoin is father of all cryptocurrency and when a new user hear about digital currency thrn bitcoin comes first. And you can see majority of the website accept bitcoin but not other coins. Abd also bitcoin is in top most position.

It is not just about being the father of all. It is being the original. Everything is just a copy. I mean really everything. Well they could say everything that this is from this or that but their are still copies.
Let us just make of use of them but dont forget to be careful.

Let us just put at this perspective, IMO, even if bitcoin is not the original but people trusted it more than the original then there is no question that it is more valuable, and a more strong assets, others altcoins also gain some trust from the investors but bitcoin is the most dominant.
