I do not believe that this is possible. Bitcoin is the first and most popular crypto currency. It has a large community of users. And its price continues to grow. There are many alternative crypto currencies, but I do not think that they can replace Bitcoin in the future.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
I'm not be sure that this will happen. Most likely, bitcoin will always remain a favorite. Too many people, forces and money are involved in this. Yes, Bitcoin will always be the number one. But the price will go so high that the poor will not afford to buy it. For rich people, they do not worry about buy and investing Bitcoin. They do not worry about buying some mining rigs for Bitcoin, because they a lot of money. But for people like me will need to collect Bitcoin in order to get some money. People like will choose to mine other cryptocurrency because it will be easier and do not have many competitors unlike Bitcoin. So, that is the different between rich people and poor people. That is the replacement I'm talking about. Could be that the Bitcoin will be raplced by the ethereum, as the Vitalik is working so hard on that system. Vitalik trying to scale the ecosystem of ethereum so big as the Visa system and ect. So there is no real answer which cryptocurrency will cost higher after few years. It's all depends on the technologies and the protocol. Wow, nice information. But I want to ask something, if Ethereum price become higher than Bitcoin, do you think the price of Bitcoin will still go up ? Or that will be the end of Bitcoin ? Right now, I just cannot imagine any cryptocurrency can surpass the Bitcoin. But with the technology I do not know about it. I can only hope that Bitcoin will last long. |

well, anything can happen in the world of cryptocurrency. now more and more altcoins are emerging. when suddenly a bitcoin goes down or scam, it will easily be replaced by another coin. although the chances are small.

Yes it makes sense, anything can happen in the future, if bitcoin still like this, not improving itself, it is not impossible there will be other cryptocurrency that increase better and new cryptocurrency better and more expensive than bitcoin. For now maybe bitcoin is the best, but for the future there could be a replacement.

The more forks, the more dilluted bitcoin will become. This may eventually end up in replacing with one of the forks

This is possible, because every day people think and make improvement of themselves. So when it comes in coins, many wants to be the next Satoshi Nakamoto who will be the inventor of the next King. Actually, many argue about this. They compare Bitcoin to Ethereum. Ethereum is one of the best alts today. Many says that it will replace Bitcoin in the future. Though I believe in Bitcoin itself that it is irreplaceable. But we can't say that. |

Bitcoin's technology has and will be surpassed. Bitcoin is presently mostly surviving on its good name. When that dies out Bitcoin will as well. Bitcoin is supposed to be money. But when you try to pay with it you realize its limitations (speed, transaction cost).

Yes it could be possible,right now there are too many cryptocurrency that makes its appearance to the bitcoin world.There is an a!tcoin that is threatening bitcoin, even if that coin is very young or that coin is just starting I think it can be really a big problem to the bitcoin.Aside from the ethereum's rapid growth the altcoin helps too many people also,so that is some proof that it can replace bitcoin.But from now it's bitcoin that is the general coin that is used,so no one can ever predict.

well i think only the time can say that because it is now really too early to predict that bitcoin cant be replace by another coin.nobody knows on this feild everybody is just only guesing .and no one can assure of it .because all kind of saying about bitcoin is not really sure everything is just a prefiction. |

I don't expect another coin to replace bitcoin because bitcoin is the most popular of them all and you can see it only growing faster and faster. That is why i think no other coin will get close to bitcoin and i don't see it surpass bitcoin at all.

but I believe that bitcoin will never be replaced by other coins in cryptococcus, since bitcoin is the pioneer of the birth of digital currency, and so far the popularity of bitcoin is high enough and the public interest to do its business on bitcoin in an effort to profit from bitcoin.
Everything dies. Bitcoin will eventually become exclusive once all the bitcoins have been mined and everything in the world gets replaced by a newer model its very likely there will be a better and more improved version in the future. We can't say anything. Everything in this possible in this world but still its hard to replace bitcoin with other crypto currency.Bitcoin is the father of cryptocurrency and many people like me just love it. We even cant think of bitcoins to be replaced with something better. We need bitcoins to be with us always and we want this currency to grow and become a dominant currency. If anyone ask me this question, i will simply say, NO, none can replace bitcoins. |

It's possible. I think when Bitcoin as been completely mined up and there's no new coins being generated which is going to take a long time but will happen thats when we will see a new currency to take it's place.

You can think again, Does bitcoin replaced by another cryptocurrency. Maybe you already know the answer. One main reason bitcoin is a mother of another cryptocurrency it's difficult to replace it for now . but nothing is impossible. I dont think that there another cryptocurrencies can beat bitcoin because we all knoe that bitcoin is the most trusted cryptocurrency as of now. Maybe the other crypto can beat bitcoin in the value but not in quality. |
