How do you know when to stop?

When do you stop? Do you have a daily limit or something?

I think its better to have a weekly or monthly limit for gambling. Make sure your limit does not exceed you budget for food and utility if it does then you seriously need spiritual  help. Gambling can be addictive especially when you want to recoup the money you have lost, thats the time you even lose more money.

If you are gambling more than you budget than you know you have a problem. If it comes between eating for the day and playing a few rounds of dice, that you know you have to stop.

I know when to stop when I have lost more than 1/3rd of my bank roll, or I am on a winning streak.

With online gambling it is very easy to stop and come back to it later

I agree with you, weekly, k limit is better, at least you can have a weekly chart, but it is hard to keep your daily chart.

As long as someone not addicted to gambling, he should know when to stop. I don't gamble everyday and always limit my bankroll for gambling everytime I'm going into. Usually, I just bet on 1/2 games and whenever I could manage to get profits, then I stop. If I lose those games and nothing left to play with, it's time to stop and come back another day.

Collecting vintage cars ins't the same as betting in gambling... In collecting vintage cars, you are collecting it because of it's priceless value, same as guitars, the older the model, the higher the price, and the resell value keeps on going up each year, that means you are winning the earlier you collect it... While in gambling, you lose money without getting anything and losing everything...

I like to gamble when I have a good feeling that I am lucky, but usually due to some kind of greediness inside of me, I push my luck and end up losing everything. This is something I need to learn which is to control, and it should be on a consistent manner.

This is actually so wrong, you dont really prepare a target. We all know that we probably wont win in gambling therefore it is lame to prepare such thing. The only thing that you should prepare is your own mentality, you should be aware that any money you put in the site is gone therefore it is fultile to chase your losses incase you lose

I agree that before we gambling then we have to prepare mentally to lose, let's just say when gambling it the same as throwing money away. Remember that gambling is very dependent with luck. I have to say that never make the gambling as a main job, it is not possible for rich but you will feel poor forever.

this soundslike a bullshit lol , i know everyone would just losing their minds once started to gamble , especially when you lost it , not much could handle it properly. to quit immediately when you have suffered a quite huge lost that almost make you can't afford to lost. mostly wouldn't know how to stop and handle that kind lost position.

We have a different attitude in gambling, I can easily stop when I a winning but it is hard for me to stop when I am losing. I guess most of the gamblers have similar attitude like me. This might be our feeling because most of the time we loses and when we feel we are lucky, we want to quit early so we can also experience some winnings.

Thats a good mindset, we should know our limits so we will not end up addicted. when im playing, i only have small amount capital to use for playing and if i lost it all then i have to stop. btw i gamble only for fun and to entertain myself when im bored.

But i think we should not have profit target. Because in gambling, it is too hard to achieve profit target, we win in gambling only luck base and we lose our money because we have no control to save our money. Only stop when you feel your pocket not allow to play again than should stop.

I am not sure that most players stop when they are winners because I have different experiences when I visit casino. There I have met people who if they win they don't stop because they believe that it was their lucky day and they have not to kick off their luck. Yeah. I think having a target would do more harm than good. When doing gambling, most of the time we get to obsessed in hitting a target amount even if we are already betting more than we can actually afford. so instead of having control over gambling, we end of having no control at all in the hopes of hitting the target.

That is the risk that you should take, if you cant take the risk then you shouldnt be gambling at all. Most people stop when they have no bankroll anymore however some people could just stop when they feel like it. It is a good thing that you could stop , most people cant really stop on their own

some people could not stop from their own because they want to get their money back. but for the bad decision they make they only end up letting their capital lose again. then on the other day they will earn some but on the long run if they dont stop they would just end up on losing again. and it will just be their routine thats why they cant stop from it if they dont change their routine.

Knowing when to stop in gambling is hard if you dont have set any goals. You should limit your time on playing gambling per day or you should set points when you need to stop. Losing streak can make you stop, or if you got big amount of money, you can call it a day

You don't need to reach euphoria before you stop gambling, a small win and small loss is enough for you to decide if you are going to continue, that is why aside from your bankroll limit, your time limit should also needs to be followed... I my self I did a lot of mistakes on time before, I do gambling before at about 8 hours a day and I was wrong, I wasted my time too much, until the time I learned to bet YOLO on first attempt and leave... 

Rule no. 1 Quit when you are winning.  That is the first indication that you need to quit. 
Rule no. 2  All in and quit just as what I qouted said.
Rule no. 3  If you have depleted your bankroll quit.  Never to deposit again it will get you into trouble

Rule number 1 does not make a lot of sense if you are a poker player that is winning, there are moments like in any game of skill where you are hot, you are in the zone and the last thing you want to do in those instances is to stop playing.

Either if you are a poker player or not, rule number 1 will always applied to you. Quit when you are winning because you might lose soon, it is not a secret and everyone is aware of that however people just dont want to listen to this and just keep on going until they lose everything then just regret it

I still disagree, this is like in baseball when a player is hot with the bat his batting average could be 0.250 but he is in the zone and his batting average in the last 20 turns is 0.500 if you are the manager you need to allow him to take a turn at bat as much as possible while he is hot.

this will depend on you, if you are giving yourself a limitation in gambling sites it will surely you have a time frame when your gonna stop.
but if not, at any moment you can stop right away.
