Where are you mining? Give-Me-FTC shows 3 GH/s (!!!!!) of total network hashrate but I couldn't find that anywhere.

give-me-ftc is fuck orphan pool.
use http://p2pool.org

Orphan? Give-Me-FTC withdrawals reaches Cryptsy without problems so we are in the same chain. p2pool.org is not working. Have they 3 GH/s?
The FTC net hash is a bit over 2GH/s

There is a new version of the FTC client released today with checkpoints added. 0.6.4.1 make sure to grab it.

Yes I have no problems depositing from pools into Cryptsy, only BTC-e is hostile to FTC deposits.

Thanks, for some reason you don't want to tell me where you're mining.

I tried give-me-ftc yestarday
Check out this

Is this pool working correct now?

It wrote on site that

Quote

To limit the increase on hashrate and a possible 51% attack on FTC, we have temporarly increased the number of confirmations required to 30 and the pool fee to 7%. Automatic and manual payouts are also temporarly disabled.

but now I tried to withdraw and recieve my FTC very quickly

Is it finding blocks? Is it profitable?

As far as I know, yes.

What I want to find out is if Coinotron+Give-Me-FTC = 1 GH/s where the hell is the 1.1 GH/s missing.

The number of confirms was fair enough, though not needed now that the block rate is back to normal.
The 7% fee is just a money grab by the operator, they don't have to pay out until they are happy it's confirmed, there is no risk it's not PPS.

A few things:

1. Would it be possible to show current network hashrate for each of the coins? That info would be AWESOME for judging overall coin health but may be a bit out of scope to coinchoose (if you do it, a graph like you have of the prices would be the cat's meow).

2. What about total market voume trade (in BTC) for each of the coins over the past 24 hours? Another crucial bit of info in deciding which coin to mine.

3. Total coin marketcap would be a valuable one to see too... not as crucial as the first too.

The FTC fiasco fallout and cleanup should be fun. I'm mining DGC myself.
Yes to all three.  Hashrate is what I am looking at adding next (once I verify I have a good way of finding it).

hashrate doesnt work for PoS networks . It eliminates PoS blocks from security and health estimation.
PPC has +80% of PoS blocks. it would be super secure on  0 hashrate.

Yeah, that's where the hashrate figure may be a bit misleading (especially for coins such as PPC and Novacoin, and YAC, if it was listed). Isn't there a good way to estimate stake block creation in this overall hashrate picture?

Also, sal... I keep wondering if there is a way to get YAC listed on CC...maybe under a separate "CPU-coin" section of the site (like you have for litecoin-based coins).

Re-add Feathercoin
+1

I'm curious why Feathercoin was removed in the first place. This certainly isn't the first coin to suffer from a 51% attack and it was handled well both by the community and the developers. There also has been a substantial increase in popularity and profitability with this coin which has raised the network hash rate high enough that it should be able to prevent this from happening again any time soon.

It will be back.  I just was giving some time for the healing to work itself out.  Timing is so important to profitability that the longer delays now impact it a bit, but I will add back in a few hours.

I removed it to give its network some time to heal.

I usually use coinchoose and like it a lot. Accidentally I saw Feathercoin is on 340% on coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency !

Why is FTC missing from coinchoose?

There was a 51% attack and I was concerned that people would mine it but not get the resulting profitability due to slower confirms, etc.  I will add it back, but took it off as a precaution.

OK, thanks for thinking ahead!

I guess it's save now since the hashrate is so high (some pools shows 6000 MH/s).

If the site is attacked again - it is replicated over here - http://choosecoin.appspot.com/.  Note the different URL for the API.

Looks like Cryptsy listed MEC, Megacoin. perhaps you could add to the profit charts? see if were overpaying for it?

Thanks!

For Worldcoin adjusted profitability:

With the new higher difficulty, and somewhat stable hashrate, we are now seeing anywhere from 75%-95% of a return on estimated rewards. This number fluctuates mostly on network hashrate and a few other factors.

The WorldCoin dev will be releasing a patch to help with some of the mining parameters. We are waiting for the patch before we release any official numbers.

Sal, currently on coinchoose.com, we are at 67% adjusted profitability. I think a more fair number, for now would be around 80%, up to you Smiley.

-Thanks

I will look at how I derive that number today.  It was based on earlier calcs, but perhaps it needs an adjustmet.
