Okay okay, for all those guys here who really think that HEAT is legit and totally not a scam and "Crypto 3.0": Why do you guys think they won't release the source code on launch? Oh you rascals didn't see that right? Here is the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1543991.msg17313176#msg17313176Well because there is no Blockchain, there is no HEAT, there is no "Crypto 3.0". All there might be is a RESTful API on their premises acting like your clients are connecting to a peer-to-peer network. Or maybe they won't even do this because you guys totally drank their Kool-Aid and will probably even give more money so they can finish the thing. If they had a product they would release the code. Or do you think any exchange will list this stuff if it is closed source? No they won't. Just remember the Lucky7 incident. And now someone wants them to launch a closed source software? Also IPR and competitive advantage are BS arguments for not open sourcing a coin, a blockchain product a "crpyto 3.0". All those guys ever planned to do was enjoying themselves with your money. Of course you could now say I'm fudding but I don't care. Watch the interview. Watch this thread. They have a marketing guy, yet they are not answering the very basic questions here. The money is gone folks.

Stewie, sounds like you either are a kid in high school or some college freshman who invested probably enough for a PS4 game.
No one here buys your "substantial amount" claim. Anyone who did that is not spewing all this nonsense because they want their money to gain, not lose. Maybe the cost of a videogame is a fortune to you, not to the real heavy whales.
Hey, that's not very fair. Everyone should have a voice, regardless of how much he invested. Stewie's posting is understandable. A lot of us went hungry because we put a whole month of lunch money into this.

That's just waaaay too much effort to steal our money. You're dumb and you say dumb things out loud. Please go spend your free time improving your photoshop skills.

I addressed the open source part back here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1543991.msg17445007#msg17445007In the link you provide, Eliphaz stated: The code is on company premises where development happens, and needs to be cleaned before being deployed to Github. Also the server code needs to be edited or mostly removed from the public release because we're not going open source at launch time because of the obvious hazards of losing IPR and competitive advantage just like that. Client and some important parts will be open sourced, however there hasn't been reason to do that yet as HEAT core development is ongoing. Some pieces of the server code will not be open source *at launch time* (This reminds me of the NEM server based component, the NIS, which I linked below), and "Client and some important parts will be open sourced". Like I said before: Even if some components are held as not open source upon launch, it does not mean that these components will be closed source forever, and it does not mean there is no chance for being added to any serious exchange or adoption anywhere. I may remind, HEAT will have it's own decentralized crypto exchange built in, which is a serious exchange endeavour. Even if that is the case for a temporary period to give a mover advantage on cloning innovations. This can be seen I suppose by NEM (which has as of now ~ 31 million USD marketcap): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NEM_(cryptocurrency) Although the NEM client is open source and available on github,[7] the NEM server based component, the NIS, is closed source and the binary is obfuscated to presumably prevent decompilers from revealing how it works." Well because there is no Blockchain, there is no HEAT, there is no "Crypto 3.0". All there might be is a RESTful API on their premises acting like your clients are connecting to a peer-to-peer network.
I don't know where you get the idea that there is no Blockchain. This is not about components, as those guys wrote it is about the server software. The whole thing. WTF? There is no reason to not open source the code. Really none. Unless of course.... .... ... it could reveal the whole scam.

I thought this would be decentralized?!!?!?! One server? So what if this server is offline?!

its been two weeks FFS. Why is this still not out.
To all C-cex investors, they still hold 150 btc 'Belongin' to HEAT. I propose we contact C-CEX and try push for them to refund C-CEX Heat investors with these funds. I just need to know - Does anyone know how much HEAT was issued on C-CEX? How much would each C-CEX investor be entitled as a refund based on the 150 btc currently held by them.
I really did want to see this project succeed however these guys are taking the biscuit now.

This becomes silly. I just realised that i'm comming here more for getting free entertainment than to actually beeing up to date with the release. Whining won't change anything for better or worse but feel free to still entertain ppl, you're hilarious... at least there's one plus from this storm HEAT is no joke. These who can't wait few days to aknowledge reality and always find new holes where there are none are the real joke here. Silly, just silly. Like a little children.

Definitely some infantile individuals have the tendency to provoke useless noise. I still want to see the heat team keeping and maintaining constant founded communication with the community. Too many bad vibes have been bounced around because of bad communication and doubts that consequently arise.

They will find that this technology once proven that it works as stated it will be something really new that the crypto market will empathise. All the entrepreneurs fail out there ( maybe they failed with FIMK , I'm not sure but that is still being used and once the coin is still being used you can't call it a failure ) . This is a new project maybe to develop with the mistakes that have been done in the past erased. Just be patient hold your coins and hope for the best.

They hired a marketing guy FFS. Still there is no communication. Their last post on how they spent the ICO money revealed that they wasted shitloads of money already. I wonder what for. Still only one dev working on it. The last coding activity by de Klerk is already a week old and was just changing two version numbers. Before that nothing happened for weeks also. This is not what active development looks like. This is not how you create transparency. This is not how you revolutionize anything. This is not "crypto 3.0".

You must be an insider with a new account (created on January 11, 2017)? Who is the hired marketing guy ? lol The development is on private repositories. As it has been, and put on github when released, just like the last two testnet wallet releases. Ignore it, it's probably the same high school kid that put up his lunch money into this. The kid is really bored because he keeps making new accounts.

I don't think people are doubting the team, the issue is lack of movement of the part of the team and this is becoming a come trend now after collecting fund from ICO the developers will cease to communicate with the investors, what investors feed on is good news.

It has some potential, but FIMK proved that there are quite many flaws in their marketing and PR. Hopefully they have learned from their mistakes..
