Anyways, I appreciate how the ELE network works - super fast transactions and wallet working like a charm. No issues with blockchain synchronisation like in ETH/ETC, no pending transactions like in DBIX and other trending coins. Yes, ok it doesn't have a roadmap and whitepaper but if it works as designed technically-wise and executes in/out transactions in seconds and with minor to no fee (one of the main features of all crypto), who really cares?

And yes there still is an exchange https://yobit.net/en/trade/ELE/BTC although ELE wallet is under maintenance meaning you cannot deposit or withdraw coins.
But still it doesn't mean you cannot sell your coins if you have any.

I havent followed this coin for some time now, is it switching ever ethereum codebase?

And is there a way to buy it, i see that it doesn't have an exchange anymore (yobit but this aint an exchange plus the wallet is in maintenance)

c-cex is a bunch of losers for delisting this coin. The worst is c-cex stole all my coins! This coin works really well and I was using it for testing smart contracts.
