I know who we should go after. I will broadcast a few names as soon as it becomes obvious that we were taken along for a ride.
I sure hope this guy didn't do this to us. He was online a bit last night, but no updates. Worse case scenario, I have information as well if needed. I've heard this from multiple people thru messages please come back bitbook! OR Y'all go get my 1 bitcoin back before I get kicked out, of my house This is heartbreaking to a small guy like me

Don't you think if they were in this for the long haul they would do more to ease the nerves and give more issurance that are money is safe. Why would they want to compound the problem with the lack of communication my guess is they are gone just like stakebtc

Why didn't he run off when BTC was $1100+ then? How long is the "long haul?" He's been faithful & reliable over the last year so other than the non-communication, there's nothing to indicate him running off. Now, it's still a possibility. But I don't know yet.

All the people want at this point is a little communication and something to put their faith back into. Radio silence is a little disturbing to those that have significant monetary value still on site. For a site that runs exclusively on customer goodwill towards the site (ie they could choose to bet where they feel the most comfortable at) this seems like a peculiar line to take. If we can all take the time to post a comment here on the forum I would respecfully ask the management at bitbook do the same.

And I can confirm from a friend a cashout was handled out 5 hours before Shutdown. A very small one but still if he was running, why pay out the night before, merely hours before!

I've been apart of 3 btc thefts on different sites, some clearweb, some darkweb.
I must say, this doesn't have many of the tell-tale signs. He would have disabled withdrawals early and allowed deposits for at least a couple of days. Also, BitBook has constantly upgraded their site, design, security and functionality. Why do this with a con in mind? I did feel like the guy manning the forums was a legit guy and I honestly still do.
I am skeptical that the problem may be larger than he cares to share or he could just be working relentlessly to fix the damn problem. Who knows? Although it does start to feel like a scam, with recent events, he's invested a shit load of time and effort into builiding the most successful bitcoin sports betting site only to run off with the money right when his site is gaining even more traction? I don't buy it.
Plus, back to my original point, they were making a KILLING off losing bets as well. He would make more in the long, long run. I believe in these guys until absolutely proven otherwise. (even though it's hard)
Just go back and read some of his posts. The new features, the security wouldn't have ever been implemented if he were planning the con the whole time. The last time the site was out I was chatting with him through PM and he was feverishly seeking a solution.
Time will tell. More than likely, today will tell.

It's now clear that the recent downtime has been caused by a DDoS attack and a resulting issue with our hosting provider. To say the least, we find this very frustrating and disappointing.
We have managed to recover a recent database, and are currently working to restore the site. We do not have a clear timeframe on this yet.
We realize that this isn't ideal for anyone, but we appreciate everyone's patience.
I mean we really need to stick to his last quote!! Just last night.

I e-mailed their host yesterday. I didn't mention BitBook.biz or their IP specifically, but the host confirmed a DDoS attack was affecting users. If that's worth anything.

I refreshed a few times and got a server error page that showed me connected to the internet -> connected to "CloudFlare in Newark"? -> then a failed connection to "Webhost". I will screen shot if I see it again!

Check it out: www.cloudfare.comHopefully they are trying to imlement a solution!

We are still working on a solution. We are not running off with user balances - which are all safe, in cold storage. We appreciate everyone's patience.
