Save the planet or not? OF COURSE!

Even if 99% of people don't want to save the planet we should still try. The earth and the creatures on it are the result of billions of years of luck and random mutations. That's a totally unique story to our planet, many times more amazing than if a god had snapped it's fingers and created it. It's possible (but not probable) that we are the only planet in our galaxy or even universe with life on it. We should realise the incredible beauty that we have here and cherish it and preserve it.

What is the point of humanity if not to make everyone happy, preserve the earth we live on and explore the universe?
Seriously? Making money for the sake of it is pointless. We all want the same things, to be safe, eat well, have friends and family and nice places to live. We aren't achieving these with the current system and we are destroying the planet in the process. We need to really rethink how things are done. I see crypto as the perfect way to subvert the current system and have a revolution in thinking and how wee go about running this world.

We chose the cheapest and most accelerated way to grow technology and innovations and that was the burning of fossil fuels.

We are now at the point where technology has progressed to the point that renewable sources are just as if not more cost effective than fossil fuels.

It is time to make the switch.

It is happening, but too slowly. Many countries have placed deadlines for fossil fuel cars and targets for renewable production but most are too conservative.
We need to unite as a people and really focus efforts on accelerating this change.

If every person made 1 small step a year to transition away from fossil fuels it would not only make a significant difference but show solidarity and a potential to change, leading policy makers to be more optimistic.

Yes Government must solve it! With the support of every individual. We all have responsibilities because we shared the same government we might have different races, belief and principles but we are in the same country some have the same government and leaders to save our planet.. Everyone of us must cooperate. But the damage in our environment has been done. All we have to do now is to minimize the effect to our environment. But I doubt that all of us will cooperate. I have a pessimistic view about the future of the planet, because the forces implied are too big to be controlled by any institution, let alone by individual.

For example, if we decide to boycott furniture made out of Amazonian mahogany, then the deforestation rates in the tropical forests of Brazil and Bolivia can be reduced by quite a lot.
