Save the planet or not

We must save our planet, it's our home. Global warming is a reality, we are in it.
If we hope to let our future grandchildren and their grandchildren enjoy and live
in a better world, we must act immediately. Governments, communities and
people must all work together in devising and implementing a strong and functional
solution that would really make an impact. Pollution and the depletion of clean and
green resources must be dealt with. It may take a long time but without the
immediate action or initiative, it may be too late to heal our world. Do your
part and spread the message.

The planet us a good place to live long before when it was not yet destroyed by pollution. Around the 90's it was reported that the ozone layer that deflects most of the sun's radiation was slowly destroyed by the emissions from carbon that causes lots of changes in the temperature and that as of now we see in the news that the polar ice caps are melting and thus the start of global warming. So it's the right time to start fixing the damage done by pollution to save our planet.

The banning of CFCs has helped the ozone layer to recover by a great extent. It is estimated that by 2070, the ozone layer will achieve the same concentration as it had before the depletion began. It has been one of the success stories. I just hope that in the future we will hear similar success stories about preventing deforestation and reducing green house gas emissions.

Of course each of us have to do best o save the environment because we are all living one planet earth, everything happens to earth wll happen to us, so it is our responsibility to join together to save this planet. And our next generation will also live in this planet.so,we should save the planet at least for the next generation.

Very pessimistic this forum. More than 50% lost the hope to save our planet. That is really bad.
In my opinion the government should do much more to protect nature and our planet. It is the government that sets the ground rules for companies to work and people to live in. There is no excuse to keep burden the next generations.

Yes I strongly agree with you. Why not save the planet? Obviously, if this will be destroyed, how much more the people living and all other living things. And I also believe that those persons leading our country, the government have the bigger responsibility of leading the people to save our planet earth.

Indeed,  the first change must be expressed by the smallest part of our society which is us, every person must be disciplined but making a whole community disciplined is not that easy. You know there are some people who doesn't care about surroundings.

i think we can save the mother earth by the unity if the people and being responsible people because if only one or small group that save it, its so hard because you can't prevent the other doing the bad things like in separating a garbage and garbage the can recycle.

The planet needs to be saved. Are we doing enough to save it? I guess not. I'm in West Africa and we have harmattan and rainy seasons. It's not supposed to be raining regularly in February but it is. Floods are happening. About 200 people got injured in a flood last week. It was snowing in Egypt last two years. After about 100 years. Changes in the climate cause drastic effects on our lives, a very bad one I should say. We need to get back to the basics. More trees, less methane. Industrialization has its perks but it needs to managed.The world needs more green. The world is dying

Climate change is seems cannot be stopped. Because of the demand of people in this planet seems larger and larger. Just like mining, they keep digging and digging until theres no gold to be mine. As technology keeps rising, demand of resources is increasing. People in this planet must be educate how to protect our planet.

I had to put other because it's not sufficient that just individuals or just governments or just Companies act. Everyone must act and I think those in power have to take responsibility as the ones more able to guide and implement change.

The reverse is happening right now. The most intelligent people (Japanese, Koreans, Europeans) are having too few children and the low IQ people (especially those in the middle-east and the sub-Saharan Africa) are procreating at an alarming pace.

It cannot be reverse, what happening now on earth is our own fault. The global warming, the draining of rivers, poisoning the sea and the surroundings. We humans made the earth into the worst nightmare and in the future the place where we live cannot be save. We all suffer in the end because of our own doings.
