Hey,

Been a long term follower of B$ but only recently been trading.
Lurked the forums for a while but as I'm taking a punt on ASIC mining I thought I'd sign up and become more active within the community.

shwoop.

I am having this same problem. I have been running the Bitcoin client for many hours now and it just seems to be eternally synchronizing, stuck at about 75% of the progress bar. I tried to send myself some bitcoins via Daily Bitcoins, but the transaction still has not appeared in the Bitcoin-Qt application's "Transactions" tab. Do I need to wait until it finishes synchronizing before making transactions? How long should synchronizing normally take? How do I make it synchronize faster?

I've been a lurker for bitcoins over a year now. Been interested in investing money and gaining assets but I missed the stock market bubble of the 90's, Gold boom of early 2000's, and still don't trust the stock market from all this debt rolling around.

But I do have faith in bitcoins to continue gaining value, especially as they begin to go mainstream.

Hi, I'm skeer. I like to make computer games in my free time  Smiley. I know C++, Java, JavaScript, and a little Action Script 3. If anyone needs me to make them some software, I'm willing to work for a reasonable price (as long as it's ethical).

Hello, everyone. I'm Warren, and I've been GPU mining for months with my crappy NVidia 9600 GS and I've yet to get a bitcoin. I've got about .10 BTC so far, using Slush's pool on mining.bitcoin.cz. Oh well, I'm trying. I may move up to an ATI card if funds allow. I do like the decentralized nature of bitcoins and that's why I'm trying to mine them. The dollar is on it's way out and I don't want to be left penniless.

Nice to meet you all.

Newb miner trying to find some help/advice on GPU overclocking and mining. Would also really like to set up a personal pool.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117149.0

^ There's some system info on my cards and what I've done on my own. I know this machine could do some decent mining, I'm just no good with voltages and hardware.

Nice to be here. Smiley Hope to find some good guidance.
