hi guys just making my first post.

im known on the BTC-E website. i wont be making up any companies or begging for cash just making comments using info i find from other sources.

secondly the post above me by bitcoin.me

don shrents IS an alias of pirates. but his real and birth name is trendon shavers. many long established users here have got a full background of trendon. including a real life fraud that went to court last year where he used this alias as well as his real name.

he used his fake name (don) to defraud people.

there is no birth certificate/ marriage certificate in the name don shrents so its just a nickname.

trendon is the legal documented name of pirate

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Hi everyone,

My name is Kasimir Gabert.  I've been a long-time lurker on bitcointalk but figured it is best to create an account for the eventual opportunity to contribute to a discussion.  I've been using bitcoins for about a year and a half, and back in the $1.00 range I had a small mining operation going.

I look forward to meeting more people in this community!

I'm Kaempfer and I just signed up here at the suggestion of a experienced user.  I'm trying to figure out and start using the bitcoin system so he told me this was a good site.  I know there is a place to see the exchange rate which I'll figure out shortly but I heard it's approximately 10 usd to 1 bitcoin.  Is that correct?

Hi Kaempfer,

A good way of finding the current bitcoin price is looking through http://bitcoincharts.com/ .  Looking at http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#rg60ztgSzm1g10zm2g25zv you'll see that today MtGox is at about 11.

Hi everyone,

I'm bitfair, and I've been working on an interesting (but at the moment top secret) bitcoin project - I will be asking for testers shortly after I am released from newbie jail.

Still missing a few pieces of the puzzle, though, but the project is almost ready for testing...

Stay tuned!

What's up everyone...?

So, I guess this is the place to start for forum newbies and as I am supposed to introduce myself, here goes:

I am an independent recording/performing artist, producer, sound engineer and CEO of my own independent recording label - Pagliacci Productionz. As an independent artist I don't make much money so I was VERY intrigued when I learned of bitcoin the other day.

I discovered bitcoin when I came across a news article saying that someone had stolen Mitt Romney's tax returns (lulz) and are holding them hostage for $1,000,000 or it's equivalent in bitcoins.

I did some reading and I REALLY like the idea of a decentralized currency, especially considering that bitcoin could be the beginning of bringing down "the fed". (For anyone who doesn't understand why it would be a good idea to bring down the federal reserve, head over to YouTube and look for the video titled "The American Dream" - yes, it IS animated, but VERY entertaining and VERY educational)

So, I started mining bitcoins the day before yesterday, right now I am cpu mining but I will be switching to gpu mining within the next 24 hours. I have joined multiple pools including: BitMinter, TripleMining, BitParking and DeepBit (My current favorites are between BitMinter and BitParking as I seem to have the best luck at these two places) and I am looking for and testing other pools as well if anyone would care to share their faves with me.

Also, if anyone is interested, TripleMining has "minipools" where we can work together as a team, if you'd like to join mine just register at http://c4n10.triplemining.com

I wish to contribute something to the bitcoin society (besides my hashes of course) so I am currently working on my own "newbie guide" though I have seen many others and eventually I hope to expand upon my programming knowledge so that I can provide useful tools for windows and *nix users.

Anyway, that's pretty much me in a nutshell, thanks for reading!!!
