Old miner, new account. I don't like using my post count as an e-penis.
So, hai!

Hey, looks like I am going to need to be doing one of these.

I have been following BTC since around May 2011. Initially invested a lot in it, but then lost it all on Mt.Gox. hack...

I am more interested on the business side of Bitcoin, not the investing. You need to use it to earn it! E-commerce business is going to be big with Bitcoin, and I am already involved in that.

Anyways, see you around on the forums!

Hey all. I'm one of the people who pre-ordered ASICs from BFL back in June 2012. I have been anxiously awaiting their arrival ever since. I'm an experienced programmer and am very interested in Bitcoin related businesses, especially leveraging it to get more people in more corners of the world paid for their amazing work. I love open-source, but think contributors to open software should be paid for their amazing work.

Hi guys, I have been reading this site since 2011, but only just registered today so I participate in a particular thread of interest.  I have been interested in BTC-related things since 2011, when I dove in after a FOSS conference where I met some really interesting people doing some really interesting things in the space.  Anyway, nice to "meet" ya!  -Ski  PS: Yes, I like to ski, especially Alps and Rocky Mountains Smiley

I've been lurking for a little while - decided to get a post out of the way as I may want to contribute to some conversation at some point.

Hello world!
Same here. Wish I'd have kicked my own ass 4 years ago when I first got into the topic/currency. It took me that long to actually start *using* them .... their value took off a bit, I see ...  Kiss

I just heard of FIX this week, at Bitfloor.  I have been reading a bit about it.

I try to be respectful and informed.

Greetings Bitcointalk!

I've been into the bitcoin scene since a little over a year ago, starting out with mining what I could with my home pc, and I haven't really unlocked the full potential of bitcoin until recently.  I figured it was about time to do a bit more and become a part of the community.. glad to be here!

Hello, this is my introduction. I'm a developer first and an entrepreneur second. I found Bitcoin as a concept interesting and I have played around with the client for a while. I do have concerns, however; the electricity consumption is probably the most nagging problem for me, morally.

With that said, I have two different Bitcoin projects started. One is soon to be in public beta. It's hard to know of an idea will fly in the fast moving Bitcoin climate, but it will be a fun ride I believe.
