Hello, this is my introduction. I'm a developer first and an entrepreneur second. I found Bitcoin as a concept interesting and I have played around with the client for a while. I do have concerns, however; the electricity consumption is probably the most nagging problem for me, morally.

With that said, I have two different Bitcoin projects started. One is soon to be in public beta. It's hard to know of an idea will fly in the fast moving Bitcoin climate, but it will be a fun ride I believe.

At least two are (from Avalon) and it's looking like there may be some from other suppliers (or self-miners) very soon.

 Hiya guys,

My online name is MybadOmen and i am a Sponsored award winning PC Modder. I have been building/modding/overclocking PC's for roughly 12 years now at a competitive level. I am very friendly
and easy to get along with,Have 3 Kids and a wife. I am also based in the USA.

How and why i got into Bitcoins and Mining. After all these Sponsored builds i have been building they usually just shit and do nothing when i retire them and they all have the highest end gear . First i tried Folding but it just wasn't for me as i found the community to be very snobby and not a fun time at all.

Recently i started looking into Bitcoins and Bit mining for a few reasons. 1 i believe in any community
that fights for out rights or helps to keep out internet free and open and uncensored. I know Bitcoins don't do that but its the whole concept as where it is ours.No government controlling it etc.

The other reason i got into bit coining was i test water cooling gear for a couple companies id rather not mention, Everything from new coolants ,Tubing,Water blocks and so on, i found running a Mining machine puts me at just the right temps for testing the loops compared to IBT or Prime95 which was a bit more aggressive then i needed for what i do.

I want to admit right up front that yes i am a great overclocker/modder/builder but when it comes to Bitcoins or Mining i am as Newbie as they get.

At the moment i am running a dual loop water cooled system with the CPU at only 4.5Ghz and 2 7970's at 1150/1600 1.2v . The 2 new sponsored builds i am working on now have the 3960x cpu and the other the 3930k. not sure if this will make any improvements yet over an i7-2700k im currently running for mining but i will save these questions for the forums.

Basically i am not here for mining only but to be part of the community and to make new friends.

Pleased to meet you all in look forward to meeting you all.

Take Care,

MybadOmen

That said I feel like I might be the only person not trying to sell something in the newbie forum. I'm a market economist and investor, here to learn more and share ideas. I'm always up for a discussion on the subject of bitcoin. I post to /r/bitcoin under /u/danperegrine.

Hello Bitcoiners!

I've been a lurker for over a year here. Now that newbie prison time is down, I decided to come out of woodwork and register. I'm not sure if there's a subject related to btc, that can't be found here with a quick search.

I'm sure you will hearthily welcome a paranoid introvert  Grin

Hello fellow bitcoiners,

I'm a small miner from june 2011 and sold my first bitcoin for 14$ made with old 5770. Since then managed to byu 3 5850's and mined some coins, but diff raise and one card broken after a while made my operation harder. Last winter had to sell coins for 2-3$ to pay for elektricity, and not feeling very lucky for beeing informed and clever to find out about bitcoins after all.

Asking you to donate some of your assets if you feel luckier than I am now, small amount is enough. Thanks in advance, no hard feelings if you're not feeling rich enough to donate Smiley

Proud owner of two sapphire 5850 oc'd to 950/300 ~750MH

plan: invest some btc to pyramining (already lost 2btc with deposit directly from mtgox to pyra, stupid!)

I started playing with bitcoins a few days before it hit $30 (a long time ago).

Mined about 50 BTC over a couple of months before the difficulty got high enough and price dropped to $8 levels to make it not worthwhile mining (Australia has one of the highest electricty costs in the world).

Still have 6 BTC left now as 'investment'
