Bitcoin is one of the global currency, bitcoin is used more for international transactions. It is sure that bitcoin is behind US Dollars for now. But in future when people realize the potential of bitcoin and truly understand the problems with fiat cash, they will adopt bitcoins. For now, bitcoin is more like a digital gold and people invest and keep it with them in order to gain from the appreciating value.

Bitcoin is already an international currency, but only the number of users is still very very low. In addition, as it requires some kind of connectivity (to assess the ledger and to transmit the transactions), it is not being used in your day-to-day groceries.

Give us another 10 years!
i think we should introduce bitcoin to the people in our area, in this way the number of bitcoin users will increase, we should also use social media and some other sources for introducing bitcoin to the people.

For me i think bitcoin is now an international currency because we can used it anywhere globally. I think we should only do is to promote them to other people who are not aware about bitcoin that we can used it internationally to convince them.

The only real issue for me as to why it is not a universal currency is that its tied frequently to the USD and that is done for a lot of things but it would be nice to see some separation from it as well.
Its used everywhere,so it is global in my books, but you could argue the USD is also a global currency.
USD is currently a global currency that is why everyone is tied with it but bitcoin is also coming in the way to become a global currency then everyone will like to do their transactions for their international businesses with bitcoin and bitcoin will be the only international and global currency.
USD is not a global currency, it is only belong t US, may be some other neighbour countries, but not all the countries, as in my country we are using RUPEE, and and any one who have USD and want to buy soe thing here in my country, they must first change their currency into our local and after that they can do shopping here.

to me bitcoins is already an international currency, as we can see in the world of bitcoin people are engage here from all over the world. hope that as the time passes bitcoin will become more and more popular in the world. people are now using it both for investment and well as for trading purposes, some people are  using it for shopping in their markets, as some shopkeepers are accepting bitcoin for shopping in their shops.

BTC's an international currency now! International people use it, but it could be used much more if it was easier, much easier for travelers to exchange BTC with the local fiat currency.

Yes, I agree. And that is why several international networks of illegal trafficking are taking advantage of bitcoin to carry out their transactions, and you also can easily buy and sell different goods around the world with bitcoins, provided that those stores accept it.
You may want to recall that illegal trafficking had not just started with bitcoin, it has always been there with the fiat currencies and the fact it is a choice for those never-do-good, points to a fact that, bitcoin is a more effective international currency, than the ones before it. While a few people might be using bitcoin for vices, a whole lot of others sees it as a very cheap, fast and secured means of global financial settlement.

I think there is no doubt that bitcoin is already an international currency we all know that bitcoin is accepted all over the world and we are able to send bitcoin to any country of the world so it is enough to say that bitcoin is international currency.
Sending or receiving bitcoin around the world was even available when bitcoin have just evolved so to consider bitcoin as international currency we need to be able to cashin or cashout from bitcoin in every country so that the bitcoin you will receive can be exchanged in your local cash as well as you should be able to easily buy bitcoin on market price and can send it to other country. And for this to become reality we have to wait for next few decades.

Bitcoin is used all over the for many purposes and all of them love bitcoin. It is true that many people use bitcoin as the world currency. However, countries do not accept bitcoin widely due to many reasons. So if bitcoin want to be recognized by Government, it still needs more time to develop and to change people thought about it

Oh boy, it's gonna be a long time we have to wait if not forever! This thing will only happen if everyone will want to move to digital currency which is very hard especially in poor countries and for the elderly.
but to me bitcoin is already an international currency, as you can see the user of bitcoins from all over the world, but i think if the government will accept bitcoin then it will become more stable thank its previous position and hope that more and more people will adopt bitcoin.

Once someone finds a way to make money with it, they will start to accept it as a currency.  There is no reason it could not be a currency, for it would make life easier and limit the fees that these banks and finical institutions charge us for using our own money.

The first international currency is bitcoin, actually the only one with wide spread and adoption.
We can only wait for people to know about bitcoin to use it.

The modern days are now patronizing bitcoin and for me its part of the international currency it has its fluctuating rate as well as the dollar which more countries depend on it. Bitcoin do have transactions via internet around the world and convertible to different currencies to where your wallet is registered to the country you're residing.

It is already an international currency, you can trade Bitcoin against any fiat currency presently, Yuan, Pound Sterling, Dollar, Yen etc but I think what you are trying to ask is when a country will officially accept it as an official currency. I think Zimbabwe should look towards adopting Bitcoin as their official currency, they have nothing to lose presently by taking this move

If it is recognized by a government as a currency, this would mean potential regulations right? What is more conducive is the adaptation of bitcoin into e-commerce and traditional brick and mortar businesses.

You're right, bitcoin already become an international currency since people almost in every country used it.
The question must be, when bitcoin will be massive adopted and become mainstream payment everywhere.
When that time happen, it will be easier to do any transaction in everywhere we want, it might be happen in 10-20 years later.
