Did you have to open some ports on win7?

At first i tried running the wallet sandboxed through "sandboxie" (great program btw) but couldnt get connections.

i opened up port 4004 in router , but no luck.

So i tried running it without sandboxie, allow connections through win firewall and it just started to work...

I guess you should just delete everything (if you havent got any blocks) and start from scratch again, answer "yes" to allow connections from win firewall and wait for it
to connect.

Dont forget to check "allow mining".

Is there any way to run it on Linux (without using Wine)? I'm not having any luck at all trying to mine on Windows.

Got 12 connections and mining since 1 hour back.
"Mining at 845 kh/s" found 5 blocks so far.

Seems to be working now.  Wink

Mining at 845 Kh/s? You have a supercomputer!

well not really unless the wallet is lying, Win 7 64 on i7-2600K 16GB ram with radeon r9 290

 14 blocks now

BTW this one is sticking out a bit, i like it.

Keep it up bro  Grin

where do you see how many blocks you got?

just check the box that says "explore accounts with one of my wallet keys" to see the coins you've mined. also account numbers are like wallet addresses.

It looks like each account is rewarded a block upon inception.  Other than that, I don't see any accounts mining any more than that.

Hi Dev!
Starting from the bottom to create "(yet, another one)" coin, is
not a challenge of little value, so in any case I congratulate you.

Before going into further details I would like to better understand
the prospect of this significant effort you are making.

The design of this new currency, which it wants to be:
a) A "simple" proof of concept that it is an end in itself?
b) A limited prototype, you need to prepare something different,
which you have already started to design?

c) The advanced stage of a defined project, but not yet totally evolved?
d) Or this is in effect the final stage (or almost all) of the project, then
a valid coin ready to be used for real, and to land to the Exchanges?

TIA

ps:
Watch out for the "List index out of bounds". Wink

Or e) I just want to buy a Pizza for 10000 Pascal Coins ;-)

I like people who think out of the sheet.  Grin Grin

But to be honest this reply does not help me figure out if it is appropriate
to reserve time and resources to this project.
Some other explanation would be useful.

PS:
Be careful not to starve in the meantime.  Wink

I would think that most correct answer is "d". I've been developing and testing during months. Client App has some bugs, of course, but I think Kernel is Ok.
Idea started at 2013, when I discovered Bitcoin, but I was not a C developer, so I decided to search how to make a new Cryptocoin more easy to use and, of course, writting full source code in Pascal.
The final concept, writted in the White Paper of Pascal Coin, was born 6 months ago.

My intention is to grow with it... If you can, thanks for helping.

It's going to be hard to list this coin on an exchange without being able to build it on a common linux OS.

Well, it will help with a fair distribution, which so far has been great.

Now it's much better, thank you.

I was hoping more in a response of type A or B, because being a different
type of blockchain, it must be checked and tested on the field.
IMHO, A new type of blockchan should be put under stress up to the point of
rupture, with all kinds of generic attack, or specifically targeted on its peculiarities.
Do it on a "purely virtual" currency or in a testcoin allows to make everything without
worries and remorse, or damage to anybody, eventually also changing structure, parameters
or other details of the blockchain along the way.

But if each PascalCoin is already a real and immutable thing, and in the future
will have a concrete value, to avoid losses for the existing users, these tests
and changing are much more difficult to do, if not impossibles, and need a lot of
extra cautions.

Apart this, the project is interesting, and there is a lot of work to do.
I have used the Delphi for a while more then a dozen years ago, so I'm very rusty,
when I have put together a working development environment, I hope I can be helpful,
but having little time, I can not promise anything.
