so i do have some better  cpus in a few rigs.  I guess I can try mining it on nicehash.  I hope it works with windows 7 as all my rigs have windows 7

Phil any reason why you dont want to switch to Win10?

I purchased 10 windows 7 pro coa's  for 250 a year ago.

I have 2 left.

I will move to win 10  once they are gone.

I like win 7  always worked well for me.

I am also getting tired of learning new os's

been doing it too long and too many times.

All you need to make an installation of Win10 from official Microsoft image - and enter key from your Win7

So you will have 10 Win 7 rigs

I think my method will stay with eth on 4 four card rigs.

and do zcash on 1 two card rig.

I would try 1 rig on Zcash too.

But is it possible yet ? Later today if I understood well.

As nothing seems to be very clear yet, do you know what software will you use ?

As of right now no. It's not live. They are based in California so it's still earlier there. They said 8am California time genesis block should be ready. And honestly unless something happens in the coding it's a slow start anyways ~34days till full block reward is even given. Plus the first 4 years devs get like % of block finds So there is time for solid stable miners to come out. Also exchange would be the only option for a wallet for windows users right now

I wish we had a windows wallet.

The price at Bitmex is just plain insane ... 1.5 BTC at the moment for ONE coin...

That would be insane for mining profit.

If I can get higher revenue per day with zcash, no brainer to convert all ETH rigs to mine ZEC at full speed.

Assuming every ETH miner will be drawn to the new honeypot, going back to mine ETH and take advantage of the lower difficulty will be a good strategy too.

I have tried the Windows miner and ran my most powerful 6xNano rig with it.... I couldnt get the 40sol/s per card as benchmarked for R9 Nanos (64 computes). I think the Windows GPU miner still has a long way to go.
