In your local network, where you rigs are connected, at your management server, fire up ethman.exe and you see the dashboard.

If you install Teamviewer on this PC, you can access it wherever you are via your Android. You need to install TV for Android.

You can access the browser version of the running Ethman.exe because its has a simple webserver running when Ethman.exe is running.

Just type the management PC's IP address 192.168.xxx.xxx:8000 (Ethman.exe must be ruuning on this PC), on your tablet's browser - I am assuming you Android is connected to the wifi-router, where your rigs are located.

The hidden gem of Claymore's miners IMHO is Ethman.exe.

I agree!  This management dashboard is a great overview of the critical information about your rigs at a glance.  Thanks for bringing this up again citronick! I keep this running 24/7!

I switch between ETH and ZCASH pools with Ethman.exe easily...... copy the right config.txt and epool.txt to all rigs with a single click. And reboot / restart all rigs also with a few clicks. How easy is that..... saved me setting up a proxy server and loose control the rig names etc.

So, I am most of the way through my 2nd mining rig build but when I popped open my power supply to hook up the cables, I realized that I will yet again be short on the molex cables  Angry  This happened on my first build since my x99 mobo required a molex for added PCIe power, putting me one 2-molex connector cable short. Luckily, Phil came to the rescue as he had an extra one from the same 1000W Rosewill Quark series Plat PSU.

This time around, I went with the Quark 1200W since I want to power 6 GPUs off an ASRock H81 Pro BTC Mobo.  I also thought i read that this PSU had more molex connectors but alas, it only has 4 on 2 cables  Undecided   Assuming this Mobo will also require extra molex power for more than 2 GPUs, this means I will only be able to hook up 2 of the 5 GPUs I currently have until I am able to secure 2 more 2-molex cables.  The bad thing is, it seems that since this is a full modular PSU, only cables from this brand and series will work with this PSU, and I cannot find them available anywhere online, including at the Rosewill store.

So, I would like to ask if anyone might have 1 or 2 extra of these laying around they would be willing to part with. I will of course be happy to pay a fair price in BTC.  Also, if anyone knows where these might be available online, I would appreciate the tip.  Thanks!

Good to know thanks. I will highly consider them for my next build.  I just hate getting everything ready to go and then being short on power cables.  Granted, I could have checked it any time in the last 3 weeks but was just too lazy. But still, you would think that these higher end PSUs would have more than enough cables, so I will check out EVGA next time.

I have used the OCZ gold 1250W. It is good. I also use the Corsair 1200W with the power usage monitoring.

My farm standardized on EVGA 1000-G2, 1300-G2 and 1600-G2.

Can't afford Platinum EVGAs - well I can, but the budget doesn't allow it and its not necessary for mining.

G2s are reliable enough anyways.

Have any tried their 10-year warranty?

I have 2 x 1300w that seems dead after a few days of use.

Hey Aries... yeah, that is the exact one i am using for my 2nd rig (6-GPU hopefully).  I have the 1000W version powering my first 4-card rig and really liked it, except for the fact that both are short of molex power cables (if you are using powered risers, that is).  I think it's not a problem for you because I believe I remember that your builds used the ribbon type risers.  Lucky for me that Phil has a couple extra that I just bought from him, so I should be up to 5 GPUs on this rig after they arrive.

Happy to report that I got my 2nd rig up and running last night!  Currently running 2 MSI 470s mining ZEC at about 165 S/s each straight out of the box.

The only issue I had so far is that I initially tried to plug the 2nd GPU into PCIe slot #2 (the x16 slot on the ASRock BTC Pro Mobo).  For some reason, this didn't work. Couldn't even make it to post.  When i tried the exact same in slot #3 (x1), it worked fine.

So, my question is this:  do i need 1) a different riser for this slot? or 2) do i need to do something in the bios to make this work with the powered x1 USB riser?

I have run into this problem with the 16x slot not working with a usb riser in the past with other motherboards.  I think it may be the motherboard.  I would try a ribbon riser in this slot to see if it works...if you have a 16x ribbon riser.  I now exclusively use the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard with usb risers and do not have any problems.

I will send a 16x ribbon riser as the surprise. I am shipping GabryRox the molex cables.
and I have a 16 pin riser.  I am going to use the  plat 1200 watt quark for my r4 coming on weds so it needs only have pcie cables and the mobo cable.

@Phil

i am buying a rx 470 4 gb tomorrow.. what brand/models do you run for 470s?

I like the msi rx 470  it is quiet cools well and does not have a back plate  which lets it fit in a four card biostar build very easy.

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GAMING-RX-470-4G/dp/B01JS9F9K4/ref=sr_1_1?

192 -25 rebate = 167

sweet. its going in open air rig at the moment but a 4 slot rig is in the works so it fits there too.

thanks!

I ordered one.
The goal is to have all biostar z170 mobos  with all msi rx 470's

I will be listing some mobos and some cards later in the week.
I also am getting my two avalon 721's tomorrow and an antminer r4 maybe on fri.

I need to move and switch a  lot of gear around. Over the next 3-5 days.

im interested in one of those or maybe something close. the 4 card rig will be a test run for my new htpc matx build

I standardised on Seasonic for the most part a long time ago, but have had good luck with the very few EVGA and SlverStone gold units I've used.
Have had exactly *1* failure on an X-series Seasonic - which was replaced by NewEgg very promptly under warrenttee no hassles.
That unit died when I accidentially pulled the power cord out while it was running 1.5 Antminer S5s, so not entirely it's fault.

Why buy a Rosewill power supply from anyone but NewEgg?
That's NewEgg's in-house brand / subsidiary and they should be able to sell it for less than anyone else.

I finally bit the bullet and bought my first pair of RX series cards - Sapphire RX 470 blower-type (not sure if they're reference or just blower-style).
They'll likely end up as a 2-card rig for now though, after I shift a couple of HD-series cards to singleton Semperon-based rigs.

One of these days I need to go through my rigs based on older MBs and rationalise stuff - I'm finding that the NiceHash ZEC miner works well with the NVidia cards I have but does NOT play nice in mixed rigs unless the only "mix" is a single APU....

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!
